Dil Bechara Creates History; Becomes The Highest Rated Indian Movie On IMDb

Ever since Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi starrer Dil Bechara has premiered on Disney Plus Hotstar it has broken multiple records. Firstly, it became the most-watched Indian movie on the OTT platform in the first 24 hours with approximately 75 Million people watched this and now, it has become the highest-rated Indian movie on IMDb (Internet Movie Database). ## According to IMDb, over 75,000 people have rated the movie and its overall user rating is 9.7 which is the highest so far for an Indian movie. It surpassed the previously top-ranked Kamal Haasan and Madhavan's Tamil movie Anbe Sivam (2003) that's overall rating is 8.8. Oscar-winning music composer and singer AR Rahman who has been receiving a lot of appreciation for the music he gave in Dil Bechara revealed that he is not getting enough work in the Bollywood because of a gang working against him and spreading rumors about him. ## In an interview with Radio Mirchi, AR Rahman who composed 9 songs of Sushant Singh Rajput's last film Dil Bechara was asked why he doesn't compose more music for Bollywood movies to which he said that "See, I don't say no to good movies, but I think there is a gang, which, due to misunderstandings, is spreading some false rumors about him".## During the interview, he also revealed that Mukesh Chhabra who directed Dil Bechara was told many false stories about him and advised not to approach him for composing music for his debut directorial. ## "When Mukesh Chhabra came to me, I gave him four songs in two days. He said, Sir, how many people said don't go, don't go (to him). They told me stories after stories. I heard that, and I said, Yeah okay, now I understand why I am doing less work and why the good movies are not coming to me. I am doing dark movies because there is a whole gang working against me, without them knowing that they are doing harm".## While saying that he is aware of what people expect from him but the 'gang' in Bollywood is 'preventing' him from fulfilling those expectations. 'Spider-Man: Far From Home' Sequel Pushed Back To December 2021

The sequel to Tom Holland's 'Spider-Man: Far From Home' has been postponed to 17 December 2021 after Disney's movie calendar rescheduled. ## The movie was originally scheduled to release on 5 November 2021, but Sony announced the move on Thursday night after a shakeup of Disney's film slate was unveiled earlier in the day (as stated by Variety). Now, the sequel of Spider-Man will take place on the date of formerly held Avatar 2, which has been pushed back to December 2022. ## It is the third instance when the makers of Spider-Man series have rescheduled the release date. Earlier, the movie was slated to release on 16 July 2021 before Sony had postponed it to 5 November 2021, and now, it has been postponed again. ## Sony Pictures also stated that the new release date is for the domestic calendar while its international release date remains in question. ## Spider-Man is not the only movie that has been delayed, earlier, MCU's 'Black Widow', DC's 'Wonder Woman 1984', Christopher Nolan's 'Tenet' among the several movies that have been postponed indefinitely. ## The release dates of the movie are pushing further because most of the theaters around the world are closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and there seem to be no plans to reopen them safely to a wide audience any time soon. ## Stay tuned...

IPL 2020 Set To Begin On September 19 In UAE

The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League is all set to begin from 19 Septemeber and the final will be played on November 8 in UAE. The IPL Governing Council chairman Brijesh Patel confirmed on Friday, July 24 on pending clearance from the Indian government. ## Earlier this week, BCCI had selected United Arab Emirates to host this year's IPL. However, BCCI tried hard to keep the tournament in India but failed as the COVID-19 pandemic is kept worsening in the country. ## The Emirates Cricket Board, and SLC, had approached the BCCI with the offer of playing host to the IPL 2020, stating that they had the required infrastructure for it. It was recently when the cast and crew of the highly anticipated movie Avatar 2 headed New Zealand to resume shoot and the movie was all set to bring the action on December 2021. But, such has been the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic which has not only resulted in movies that were about to come out being delayed but movies ways into the future needing to be pushed back too and Avatar 2 is one of them. ## Responding to the delay, James Cameron, the director of Avatar, today (July 24) confirmed that bringing the movie on December next year will no longer be possible as the coronavirus pandemic has prevented him and his team from recommencing most of the visual production work on stages in Los Angeles, which he described as being "just as critical" to the Avatar movies as the live-action work. ## He continued in a statement shared on Twitter, "Prior to the COVID-19, everything was on track to bring you the first sequel in December of 2021. Unfortunately, due to the impact that the pandemic has had on our schedule, it is no longer possible for us to make that date.## There is no one more disappointed about this delay than me. But I am buoyed by the incredible performances of our cast and the extraordinary work that Weta Digital is doing bringing the world of Pandora and the characters of the film to life". ## The director also added in his statement that he is "thankful for the support" he is receiving from Disney Studios as well as to the fans for their love and support over the years. Earlier, Rakesh Roshan announced on Hrithik's birthday (January 10) in 2018 that Krrish 4 will release on Christmas 2020 of which the possibilty has now been completely disappeared. ## Now, with a lot of time left for Krrish 4, before that, Hrithik Roshan is said to be doing the remake of Satte Pe Satta, which will be directed by Farah Khan.
