Box Office: Gangubai Kathiawadi Ends 3rd Weekend On High; On Course For Rs. 200 Crores Worldwide

Mumbai, March 14 - Alia Bhatt-led "Gangubai Kathiawadi" is hardly putting any foot wrong despite stiff competition at the box office. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed biographical drama film has completed 17 days at the box office, grossing approx. Rs. 184 crores worldwide, including Rs. 139 crores in India (Rs. 118 crores net.) At the domestic box office, "Gangubai Kathiawadi" scored an estimated Rs. 5.50 crores net on the 3rd Sunday for Rs. 12.56 crores 3rd-weekend collection, dropping just 46% from the second weekend. As compared to the biggest Bollywood grosser post covid-19 pandemic, "Sooryavanshi", the Alia Bhatt-starrer has scored a little more in the 3rd weekend. The Akshay Kumar-led movie had done the net business of Rs. 12.36 crores in its 3rd weekend. Overseas, Gangubai is super strong with approx. Rs. 45 crores gross after the 3rd weekend. It is the 3rd biggest Bollywood grosser post-covid-19 in the international market, after "83" (Rs. 64 cr.), and "Sooryavanshi" (Rs. 62.2 cr.). "Gangubai Kathiawadi" is very much on course to enter Rs. 200 crores worldwide. It will become only the second Bollywood movie to achieve the feat since the covid-19 outbreak. Despite the anticipation, the movie couldn't meet expectations and opened to nearly Rs. 2.10 crores on Friday from multiplexes. Hrithik Roshan's Announces New Release Date Of 'Fighter'

Mumbai, March 10 - Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan has booked Gandhi Jayanti 2023 weekend for his upcoming ariel action thriller, "Fighter", also starring Deepika Padukone as the female lead, and Siddharth Anand directing it. The film was supposed to release on January 26, 2023. However, with shooting is yet to commence and Anand's "Pathaan", starring Shah Rukh Khan is releasing on Republic Day 2023, "Fighter" will now be hitting theaters worldwide on September 28, 2023. Radhe Shyam Hindi Opening Day Numbers May Shock Everyone

Mumbai, March 10 - Director Siddharth Anand is working on his biggest film to date, Shah Rukh Khan-fronted "Pathaan". The Yash Raj Films' spy action-thriller went on floors in late 2020 and is now, gearing up to shoot the final leg of filming.## Even though the movie has been in development since 2020, YRF recently made the official announcement with the release date. From the early days of production, "Pathan" has been in the news, and buzz around it kept going up with each passing day. Gangubai Kathiawadi Officially Enters Rs. 100 Crores Net Club

Mumbai, March 9 - Alia Bhatt is now the new box office QUEEN! "Gangubai Kathiawadi", a biographical drama, has officially entered Rs. 100 crores net club after an estimated Rs. 3 crores on the second Wednesday, pushing total domestic net to Rs. 102.64 crores. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed took just 13 days to reach the box office milestone, the second-fastest for a solely woman-led film. Kangana Ranaut's "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" is the fastest to reach Rs. 100 crores net, which took just 11 days. "Gangubai Kathiawadi" netted Rs. 68.93 crores in the first week, and maintained a super hold over the second weekend for Rs. 23.28 crores. On the second Monday, the film dipped by 66% for Rs. 3.41 crores but took a jump of 17.60% for Rs. 4.01 crores on the second Tuesday. The second Wednesday estimates take the film past Rs. 100 crores net.
