Promotions of RRR Release In Japan Will Be Done By RRR Team?

Hyderabad, 18 Sep 2022: RRR is a sensational blockbuster both in India and overseas during its theatrical release. It received rave reviews and humongous responses after its OTT release on Netflix. ## RRR is set to hit screens in Japan on October 21, 2022. The latest grapevine is that both the lead actors and director will visit Japan to promote the movie ahead of its release. Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna's 'Pushpa - The Rise' To Release In Russia In Local Language

Hyderabad, September 18 - Superstar Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna's action drama film Pushpa - The Rise will soon be released in Russia in the local Russian languages. ## "Pushpa - The Rise" was the highest-grossing Indian film of 2021 and grossed over 360 crores worldwide. It became a huge hit in the dubbed Hindi version and the makers are giving an extra touch to its sequel to make it a true Pan-Indian film. ## Meanwhile, director Sukumar said that the first part of the movie has been dubbed and will soon be released in Russia. The film was released internationally along with the domestic release in December last year and it will now be released in Russia in the local language. ## The film, produced by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Muttamsetty Media, depicts the rise of a coolie in the smuggling syndicate of red sandalwood, a rare wood that grows only in the Seshachalam Hills of Andhra Pradesh state. ## "Pushpa" won 7 awards in SIIMA 2022, including the Best Actor for Allu Arjun. VT13: Varun Tej's Next Film To Be Based On Balakot Air Strike?

Hyderabad, September 17 - Telugu actor Varun Tej teased his new film announcement today (Sept. 17). The actor took to Twitter and shared a video, in which he can be seen reading through a script. He closes the script book, with a sigh of satisfaction and then keeps a toy aircraft on it, indicating the movie will be based on Indian Air Force. ## Tentatively titled VT13, the film will officially be announced on September 19. SS Rajamouli Stresses On The Importance of Making Films On 'Ramayana' And 'Mahabharata'

Toronto, September 17 - India's maverick filmmaker SS Rajamouli has stressed the importance of making films by taking the essence of Hindu epics Ramayan, and Mahabharat to make the film industry strong. ## The RRR director, during the press interaction at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival, said that there is a lot of emotional drama and action in the aforementioned epics and the movies on them can go beyond boundaries. ## Speaking highly about the Telugu film industry, Rajamouli said that Tollywood out of all other film industries has made more films by taking the essence of "Ramayana" and "Mahabharata". ## He further said that if the Telugu industry continues to make more films on these epics, then it needn't be restricted to only Telugu people and can go beyond the state and the country. ## Giving the example of his path-breaking film series Baahubali, Rajamouli said that it was the film that broke all barriers, and then slowly people started realizing that the Indian film industry is not all about Bollywood, but there are other industries, particularly the Tollywood. ## Lately, Bollywood too seems to have realized the importance of making films on "Ramayana" and "Mahabharta" which provide wholesome larger-than-life experiences. Prabhas' 'Project K' Is A Futuristic Sci-Fi Actioner With A 'Mahabharta' Connection

Hyderabad, September 15 - Superstar Prabhas is currently working on two of the most expensive and anticipated Indian films - Adipurush and Project K. ## The "Adipurush" shoot is done and the movie is ready for release on January 12, 2023. However, director Nag Ashwin's "Project K", co-starring Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone, is only half done and the remaining shoot will be completed by the first quarter of 2023. ## "Project K" is touted to be the biggest Indian action spectacle which is set in the future and revolves around the timeline of World War 3. It is a futuristic action drama on the line of the time travel concept. ## If reports are to be believed, the movie has a strong connection with the Hindu epic "Mahabharata", where Amitabh Bachchan's character is inspired by Ashwathama. In Mahabharata, Ashwathama became a Chiranjivi (immortal) due to a curse given to him by Lord Krishna.## "Project K" will reportedly have as many as 5 prolonged action blocks and in a one-of-its-kind strategy, the producers have hired multiple action directors to design the epic battle to unfold on the screen. Amitabh Bachchan will also be seen doing proper action sequences alongside Prabhas in the film. The movie is being shot like a Hollywood film with a blue and green screen set up, according to Pinkvilla. ## That's not all, every schedule of the film is followed by a break since the director Nag Ashwin, and his team is working on the editing of the sequences shot in every leg of the shoot, to make sure they create something magical that will be remembered for a long long time. ## The movie is being produced by C. Megastar Chiranjeevi Prevents The Makers From Selling Distribution Rights of 'Godfather'?

Hyderabad, September 15 - After the debacle box office performance of Acharya, Megastar Chiranjeevi is gearing up for the release of his next, titled Godfather. The remake of the Malayalam movie "Lucifer", the upcoming film also stars Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and Nayanthara in key roles. ## According to the latest reports, "Godfather" will be released by the producers themselves as Chiranjeevi has reportedly prevented them to sell the distribution rights of the movie for both domestic and overseas markets. ## "Godfather" is produced by RB Choudary and NV Prasad while the presenter is Konidela Productions banner. According to greatandhra.com, Chiranjeevi has advised the producers not to sell the film at higher prices but only release it against advances. Nani's Most Expensive Film 'Dasara' Theatrical Rights Sold For Record Price

Hyderabad, September 10 - Superstar Prabhas' 2004 romantic actioner Varsham is getting ready for re-release with remastered version. The movie, directed by Sobhan, will most likely to re-release on Prabhas birthday on October 23 or a day before. ## Produced by M.S. Raju under the banner of Sumanth Art Productions banner, Varsham was the third highest-grossing Telugu film of 2004. It also starred Trisha Krishnan, and Gopichand along with Prakash Raj and Chandra Mohan, among others. Vijay Deverakonda To Do A Fantasy Film With Producer Dil Raju?

Hyderabad, September 10 - Vijay Deverakonda, whose much-hyped sports action drama film Liger bombed at the box office, has resumed the shoot of Shiva Nirvana's romantic comedy Kushi, co-starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu. He was also doing JGM with director Puri Jagnnadh, but that movie has reportedly been put on hold. ## Meanwhile, according to the latest reports, Vijay Deverakonda is in talks with producer Dil Raju for a fantasy film. It is said that the producer had planned a fantasy film with VD in the direction of Indraganti Mohan Krishna a couple of years ago. ## Mohan Krishna's last film was Nani-starrer "V", which was released directly on the OTT platform. Dil Raju was reportedly so optimistic that Indraganti would deliver a massive hit with Nani's film, however, the movie did receive poor reviews and was a digital flop. ## Dil Raju is now looking to revive the film with some other directors and he is reportedly in consultations with VD to work on further plans. SS Rajamouli To Make His First-Ever Appearance At An American Festival

Los Angeles, September 7 - The maverick Indian filmmaker, SS Rajamouli is making his way to his first-ever US festival. The filmmaker will be hosted by Los Angeles' Beyond Festival, which has announced today the presence of RRR filmmaker as part of a special Tollywood programming, "From Tollywood to Hollywood". ## Built-in partnership with the American Cinematheque, the special programming will honor the revolutionary Indian director, featuring Rajamouli's multiple films presented in their native Telugu language with English subtitles, including Baahubali: The Beginning, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, Eega, Maryada Ramanna, and Magadheera. ## According to the Los Angeles Times, the first-ever official US festival visit of Rajamouli could also kick-start "RRR's" Oscars campaign, which has been hyped heavily by the Hollywood media. It was supposed to roll out in early 2022, however, due to unknown reasons, further development on the movie never took place. ## It has been more than a year since the movie, tentatively titled PSPK 29, was announced. Reports claimed that the movie has been shelved over creative differences but that is not true as the producer of the film has finally provided the next course of development for the movie. ## Ram Talluri, who will produce this action drama film, recently said in an interview that the movie will happen for sure and that it has not been called off. He stated that it was temporarily put on hold due to Pawan Kalyan's busy schedule with movies and his political ambitions. ## The producer also stated that Surender Reddy is currently busy with his next film titled "Agent" with Akhil Akkineni. 'Liger' Distributor Backs The Movie Despite Heavy Losses

Hyderabad, September 5 - Vijay Deverakonda's sports action drama film, Liger has tanked at the box office. This resulted in heavy losses to the distributors who bought the movie at high prices. The Puri Jagannadh-directed film was made on a big budget and was expected to do well at the box office, but that didn't happen. ## "Liger" opened to disastrous reviews from critics who slammed the movie left, right, and center, as if the movie didn't deserve to exist. Because of the critics' reviews, the movie couldn't gather any momentum after the opening day and ended up with just a 20% recovery of total investment. ## With such a poor response to the movie, it would be fair to assume that the distributors across languages are upset with the makers. Hyderabad, September 3 - Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan's all-time blockbuster Jalsa returned to the big screen to celebrate his birthday. The special shows of Trivikram Srinivas-directed action comedy were arranged across Telugu states and international locations on September 1 and 2.## "Jalsa" was re-released on over 500 shows worldwide, which is an all-time record for an Indian movie as far as the special shows are concerned. The movie also did exceptionally well at the box office and brought in higher numbers than most of the new releases opening day numbers. ## The movie collected approx. 2.60 crores gross in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states, including approx. 1.26 crores from the Nizam area while the rest of India's collection of the movie is around 20 lakhs. Tollywood Re-Introduces 8-Week Theatrical Window For All The Movies

Hyderabad, September 1 - The Tollywood film industry has re-introduced an 8-week theatrical window for all the films, releasing after September 10th. The decision was taken by the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce after multiple meetings over the last couple of weeks. ## The Telugu film chamber also announced in a statement that a film's satellite and streaming partner will not be mentioned in the film titles/theatrical release publicity. ## It has been observed that filmmakers revealed their films' satellite and OTT partners before the start of the film in theaters, which may have tempted moviegoers to wait for the OTT release of the film which was within 28 days of theatrical release till now. ## The film chamber has also decided to cancel the per-day payment system for the artists/technicians from September 10th. All artists' remuneration shall include - staff, local transport, local accommodation, special food, etc. ## Meanwhile, the film chamber hasn't reached any conclusion regarding the VPF charges despite multiple meetings.
