Singham Again vs Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 Opening Day Advance Booking Comparison Report

Mumbai, October 29 - Two of the most-awaited Bollywood films of the year, Ajay Devgn-fronted Singham Again and Kartik Aaryan-starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 are brewing up for major box office clash this Diwali on November 1st. ## There has been a lot of tussle over screen sharing as the makers of both films are demanding enough screen count to cash in the big opportunity. This skirmish led to the late opening of pre-sales but once the full-fledged bookings started, both movies showed very good movement. ## BB3 went on sale a day before Singham Again and the horror comedy sold over 554K tickets worth approximately 17.10 crore from around 9900 shows. On the other hand, Singham 3 sold around 512K tickets worth 15.75 crore from around 13700 shows for the opening day. (Booking gross without block seats and from tracked shows only). ## The pre-sales of both movies picked up after the full-fledged bookings started and on its last day before release, the advance sales exploded and finished among the highest of the year. 'Mirzapur' Series To Be Adapted Into Theatrical Film; Cast Details Revealed

Mumbai, October 28 - In a landmark move, Amazon Prime Video's hit crime thriller web series Mirzapur is set to be adapted into a theatrical film. Amazon MGM Studios and Excel Entertainment will produce it. ## The series explores power dynamics and the criminal underworld in the heartland of northern India. The theatrical adaptation, set to debut in 2026, is one of the first instances when a major streaming product is being made into a theatrical film. ## The film will feature the return of the show's principal cast, including Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleen Bhaiya, Ali Fazal as Guddu Pandit, and Divyenndu as Munna Tripathi. Mumbai, October 27 - The Dussehra weekend Bollywood releases, Alia Bhatt's Jigra and Rajkummar Rao and Tripti Dimri's Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video have underperformed at the box office, particularly the former which has credible names attached to it. ## It has been a struggling ride for the action thriller Jigra which has barely managed to go past 50 crores at the worldwide box office. Domestically, the movie is a big flop, grossing approximately 36.50 crores (30.35 crores net) in 16 days so far. ## At the overseas box office, Jigra has managed to mint an estimated 18 crores, for a worldwide cume of around 54.50 crores gross collection. This is Alia Bhatt's lowest-grossing film worldwide since Highway which minted approximately 52.50 crores gross in 2012. ## The comedy-drama Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video has performed decently so far. The film was officially announced in September this year with Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms and Akshay's Cape of Good Films producing it. ## Later, it was reported that the Bhool Bhulaiyaa trio of Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, and Asrani would also feature in this much-anticipated film. Mumbai, October 23 - It was reported recently that Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has been discussing a sequel to the 2008 cult blockbuster, Ghajini which itself was the remake of the 2005 Tamil movie of the same name starring Suriya, with producers Allu Aravind and Madhu Mantena. ## Aamir is keenly interested in making Ghajini 2 and has asked the makers to develop the story before giving his final nod. It was also reported that the makers are also trying to make the film in Tamil with Suriya and now, the actor has himself confirmed the same. ## "Ghajini 2 was actually, surprising that you asked me now. After a long time, Allu Aravind came up with that idea (for the sequel) and asked if that would be possible. I said definitely sir, we can think of it. Yes, the talk has started, the things are in process. Akshay Kumar's 'Khel Khel Mein' Scored Lesser Than 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' Viewership On Netflix

Mumbai, October 23 - Akshay Kumar's comedy-drama Khel Khel Mein, directed by Mudassar Aziz, scored an underwhelming viewership in the first two weeks on Netflix despite the positive critics' reviews.## The movie generated 7.4 million views in the first 10 days, which included 4 million views in the opening weekend and 3.4 million views in the full second week. It has failed to beat Akshay and Tiger Shroff's Bade Miyan Chote Miyan which minted 8 million views in 10 days. ## Interestingly, the viewership of Khel Khel Mein dipped in the second week, unlike BMCM where viewership grew after the first weekend. The critics' response has also been opposite to both movies as BMCM was blasted by critics. ## Khel Khel Mein was originally released in theatres on August 15 this year, however, it performed underwhelming at the box office, grossing approximately 57 crores worldwide. BMCM was also a theatrical release first but got bombed at the box office with around 110 crores worldwide collection. ## Among the films released on Netflix this year after their theatrical releases, Khel Khel Mein's viewership is the 9th highest after the first 2 weeks. Mumbai, October 23 - Superstar Salman Khan has reportedly resumed filming of the much-anticipated action drama Sikandar amid the postponement rumours. The film is directed by A.R. Yash Officially Confirms 'Toxic' Postponement; Also Talks About Epic 'Ramayana'

Mumbai, October 22 - After the mega success of KGF: Chapter 2, superstar Yash returned to set with the upcoming gangster action drama Toxic which is being directed by national award-winning director Geethu Mohandas. The film is currently on floors and will be released next year. ## Toxic was announced last year with the release date which was April 10, 2025. However, it was recently reported that the movie had been postponed due to date issues of involved actors. The movie has Nayanathara, Kiara Advani, and Huma Qureshi, among others in prominent roles. ## Now, during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, the superstar officially confirmed that Toxic won't be released on April 10. 'Singham Again' and 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' Theatrical Runtimes Locked

Mumbai, October 21 - With less than 2 weeks left for the much-anticipated box office clash of the year between Ajay Devgn-fronted Singham Again and Kartik Aaryan's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, the makers are set to submit the films for the censor clearance and are expected to get this done in a day or two. ## Meanwhile, as the makers gear up to get the censor formalities done, the theatrical runtime of both films has been released and it is pretty similar for both of them. According to the reports, Singham Again makers submitted the film to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) a few days ago with a runtime of 2 hours and 30 minutes (150 minutes). ## The final length of the Singham 3 depends on the cuts or additions asked by the CBFC but the reports say it will be more or less the same as mentioned above. Such runtimes are considered perfect for mass entertainers and can give a significant advantage in case of a clash with other movies in securing more shows, however, it is not going to be a major difference this time. ## According to Pinkvilla, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is in the final leg of post-production and the makers are set to submit it to the censor in a day or two. It is said that the rough cut of BB3 is 2 hours and 39 minutes long (159 minutes), including the start and end credits, similar to the first Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007), starring Akshay Kumar which was also 159 minutes long. ## Excluding the credit portion, the final runtime of BB3 is expected to be close to Singham Again, which means, no advantage for either of the movie as far as shows are concerned. Mumbai, October 18 - After the historic blockbuster success of Gadar 2, Bollywood star Sunny Deol teamed up with Telugu director Gopichand Malineni for the first time for an action drama film, tentatively titled Jatt while simultaneously doing Rajkumar Santoshi's period action drama Lahore 1947. ## It was reported that Lahore 1947 would be Sunny's next release after Gadar 2 during the Republic Day 2025 weekend, however, the latest reports suggest it has been pushed back and the slot has now reportedly been taken by Jatt which is nearing its compilation.## According to the report by Pinkvilla, the makers are eyeing the Republic Day 2025 weekend release of Jatt and the official announcement is expected to be made soon. It is said that Mythri Movie Makers and the team are considering the date a perfect release for this action-packed entertainer. ## "Jatt is a big-budget action entertainer with a strong emotional core and has a patriotic flavour – a genre that Sunny has excelled at in his career. Mumbai, October 18 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar's yet-untitled biographical drama film about lawyer C. Sankaran Nair is set to release on Holi 2025. The movie also stars R Madhavan and Ananya Panday in prominent roles. ## Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, the movie will be released on March 14, 2025. It is produced by Dharma Productions in association with Cape of Good Films and Leo Media Company. The movie is inspired by real-life events and adapted from the book "The Case That Shook The Empire" written by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat. ## C. Mumbai, October 17 - Kangana Ranaut's much-awaited biographical drama Emergency has finally received the censor certificate after a long delay, the national award-winning actress confirmed the same on X. ## "We are glad to announce we have received the censor certificate for our movie Emergency, we will be announcing the release date soon. Mumbai, October 14 - Over the last couple of months, the trade is buzzing with the potential maiden collaboration between Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan and Tamil director Lokesh Kanagaraj. While Aamir has confirmed to play a cameo in Lokesh's Coolie starring Rajinikanth, the duo has also been in the news for a full-fledged film. ## It was recently reported that Aamir and Lokesh have been in talks for quite some time now and that things were progressing in the right direction. Dharma Productions 'Dhadak 2' Release Date Postponed

Mumbai, October 14 - Dharma Productions' love story drama Dhadak 2, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri has reportedly been postponed to the next year. Directed by Shazia Iqbal, the movie is a spiritual sequel to Dhadak (2018), starring Ishaan Khatter, and Janhvi Kapoor. ## Dhadak 2, which is said to be a remake of the Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal (2018), was announced on November 22, 2024, release. According to Bollywood Hungama, it has now been postponed and the producers are looking at releasing the film on February 21, 2025.## Subject to the official announcement, Dhadak 2 will clash with Ajay Devgn's Raid 2 which is already confirmed for February 21, 2025, release.
