'Kalki 2898 AD' Tops 2 Crore Footfalls; First Indian Movie of 2024 To Do So
Hyderabad, July 3 - Amid the box office carnage, sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD has crossed 20 million (2 crores) footfalls in India in all languages, becoming the first Indian movie of the year to do so, beating fellow industry title, Hanuman. ## Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD has scored an estimated 2.02 crores of footfalls in just 6 days in all versions. The Telugu version is leading approximately 1 crore admissions, followed by Hindi with 75 lakh. The rest of the versions have sold approximately 28 lakh tickets so far. ## In 2024, only four Indian films have sold more than 1 crore tickets in theatres and Kalki 2898 AD is the only one to make it double. The other movies to score 1+ crore footfalls are Hanuman (1.44 crore), Fighter (1.17 crore), and Manjummal Boys (1.16 crore).## The Prabhas-fronted blockbuster has been ruling the box office since day 1.
