Actor Saif Ali Khan Attacked At His Residence

Mumbai, January 16 - Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was shockingly attacked by an intruder at his Mumbai home in the early hours of January 16. The actor was stabbed six times and was hospitalised at Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital, according to NDTV. ## Dr Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, said that Saif underwent a neurosurgery. The plastic surgery is still going on. Two of the six stab wounds are deep, and near the spine, said the statement from Lilawati Hospital. The actor is said to be out of danger, per NDTV report.## It is said that an intruder sneaked into Saif Ali Khan's house while he was sleeping. A scuffle between the actor and the intruder broke out and in this, Saif Ali Khan was reportedly attacked with a knife six times by the intruder who fled the crime scene. ## Saif Ali Khan's team has issued an official statement which reads, "There was an attempted burglary at Mr Saif Ali Khan's residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing surgery. We request the media and fans to be patient. It's a police matter. 'Gully Boy' Sequel In The Works With Different Cast: Report

Mumbai, January 14 - A sequel to the musical romantic drama Gully Boy is reportedly in the works without the original cast of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, and director Zoya Akhtar. The blockbuster film will complete 6 years on February 14. ## According to the Filmfare report, Vicky Kaushal and Ananya Pandey will headline the much-awaited sequel while Arjun Varain Singh, who previously helmed Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, will direct it. If gets confirmed, it will mark Vicky and Ananya's first film together. ## "Arjun Varain Singh, who directed Kho Gaye Hum Kahan for Excel and Tiger Baby, is slated to direct the Gully Boy sequel. He's confident that Ananya, who was his heroine in Kho Gaye, will be the perfect girl to lead the project. Vicky has been attached with the sequel for a long time now", says the report. ## Released in 2019, Gully Boy is inspired by the lives of street rappers Divine and Naezy. It tells the story of Murad, played by Ranveer, a young aspiring rapper from Mumbai's slums. Mumbai, January 8 - Producer Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films recently announced 8 new films in the blockbuster horror-comedy universe with 2 films each till 2028. The line-up begins in 2025 with Thama and Shakti Shalini. Both films will be released in the last quarter of the year. ## While Thama is being headlined by Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna, the latest report by Peepingmoon.com has revealed that Kiara Advani will lead Shakti Shalini which is a female-centric blockbuster. It is a supernatural comedy in which Kiara will play the titular role. ## The report further states that Punjabi-born director Ajitpal Singh, who has helmed the TV series Tabbar, will be directing Shakti Shalini. He is known for crafting intense and emotionally driven narratives which makes him an interesting choice for Shakti Shalini. ## Scheduled to be released on December 31, 2025, the shoot of Shakti Shalini is expected to commence in April/May. Just like other films in the horror-comedy universe, it also draws inspiration from Indian folklore, but it is said to be different in many ways. ## Kiara, meanwhile, has multiple films in the in the making. Mumbai, January 8 - After getting postponed from October 2024, the beloved Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama, the anime adaptation of Valmiki's timeless epic, is coming to Indian theatres this Republic Day weekend, more than two decades after it was first released in the early 90s.## On Wednesday (January 8), it was announced that the timeless epic will be hitting Indian cinemas on January 24, 2025, in Hindi, English, Telugu, and Tamil. Legendary writer V Vijayendra Prasad has provided his creative vision to the Indian language dubs. ## The Legend of Prince Rama will be distributed across India by Geek Pictures India, AA Films and Excel Entertainment. It was co-directed by Koichi Sasaki, Ram Mohan, and Yugo Sako, and is a joint Japanese and Indian production venture. ## It is a Japanese-Indian animated film that retells the classic Indian epic, the Ramayana. Mumbai, January 5 - Producer Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films has reacted to the recent comments made by Telugu producer Naga Vamsi on the Bollywood film industry. During a roundtable interaction of filmmakers, Vamsi said that while the South industry is going Pan India, Bollywood filmmakers are making films only for Juhu and Bandra in a seemingly arrogant tone. ## During Sky Force's trailer launch event, producer Dinesh Vijan was asked to react to Vamsi's derogatory remarks. The filmmaker, who has been in top form with back-to-back big successes, made a very dignified response without showing Vamsi and South industry in a bad light. ## Speaking about the same, Vijan said that since the pandemic, there are 5 Hindi films (Pathaan, Jawan, Gadar 2, Animal, and Stree 2) which has crossed 500 crore net collection which didn't exist earlier. He said that just because Bollywood filmmakers don't speak about or brag about those successes, the fact is that we have 5 huge films (since Covid-19). ## Without gunning down the entire South industry, Vijan said that there might be 1 or 2 people who speak like that but whenever he has gone to South, they (South filmmakers) have been very encouraging. Mumbai, December 25 - Varun Dhawan's mass action entertainer Baby John is the last big Bollywood release of 2024 and it has taken a decent opening at the box office with double-digit numbers. ## The opening of Baby John got a push due to the Christmas holiday, however, at the same time, it was affected by strong holdovers like Pushpa 2 and Mufasa as early estimates suggest a 12-12.50 crore net opening for Varun Dhawan-starrer.## The film opened on the projected lines, however, being a mass movie and a holiday release, Baby John was expected to open much higher which didn't happen. The initial word of mouth seems to be mixed which might not be enough given the strong competition it has. ## Allu Arjun's mega-blockbuster Pushpa 2 - The Rule once again remained the first choice in Hindi despite being in its third week and against a direct new Bollywood film. It is running riot at the moment with no sign of slowing down anytime soon. ## On its 3rd Wednesday (21st day), Pushpa 2 scored an estimated 14-16 crores net collection in Hindi, jumping around 30% from Tuesday which is sensational. With this, the total collection of the film has reached 715+ crores net in the dubbed version and the 800 crores net club looks well within the reach that is no less than a dream. ## Meanwhile, another film of the day is Kichcha Sudeep's action thriller Max which has taken the biggest opening of 2024 for a Kannada movie. The movie was earlier supposed to be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala but it didn't happen due to unknown reasons. ## The movie is touted as an ambitious one and will reportedly be made on a budget of 150 crores. The shoot of TMMTMTTM will commence next year and it will have a grand worldwide release in 2026. The movie will be directed by Tushar Jalota of Dasvi fame. ## Set against the breathtaking backwaters of Kerala, Param Sundari is a cross-cultural romance tale of young love where North ka munda Param (Sidharth) meets South ki Sundari Sundari (Janhvi). It is in the line of Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's 2 States. ## The film "promises a heartfelt tale of love, where two worlds collide, and sparks are bound to fly. Mumbai, December 19 - The sequel to Bollywood star Ajay Devgn's romantic comedy De De Pyaar De has officially been postponed and will be released on November 14, 2025. ## Directed by Anshul Sharma, De De Pyaar De 2 was supposed to hit the big screen on May 1st, 2025, a date which has now been taken by Devgn's crime thriller Raid 2. The new release date of DDPD2 is exactly a year after Raid 2's original release date of November 14, 2024. ## DDPD 2, produced by T-Series and Luv Films, will see Ajay Devgn reprise his role along with Rakul Preet Singh, who also returns to reprise his character from the first movie released in 2019. R.
