Mumbai, November 9 - Director Rohit Shetty's Singham Again starring Ajay Devgn has become the highest-grossing film in the franchise at the domestic as well as worldwide box office, beating the lifetime collection of Singham Returns in just 5 days. ## The latest instalment in the cop action drama scored 232 crores gross worldwide in the first 5 days which surpassed the total worldwide collection of Singham Returns' (Singham 2) 216 crores gross. Domestically, Singham 3 outgrossed Singham 2's 200 crores gross in a flat 7 days to become the biggest film in the franchise. ## Singham 3, which is 5th movie in Shetty's cop universe, is currently in the second weekend and has so far grossed approximately 275 crores worldwide, including 217 crores domestically (207.50+ crores net) in 8 days, through the second Friday. OTT Platforms To Blame For Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 Clash

Mumbai, November 8 - It was recently reported how the OTT platforms have been controlling the theatrical releases of Bollywood films by signing pre-contracts for the streaming release, and this practice has been admitted by producer Bhushan Kumar whose Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 made to clash with director Rohit Shetty's Singham Again. ## The box office clash between BB3 and Singham Again didn't make sense as both films were hugely anticipated and were seen as potential blockbusters. While both movies are doing well at the box office, one must admit that their overall potential was cut short by the unwanted clash due to their streaming partners. ## Producer Bhushan Kumar of T-Series said in an interview with Bollywood Hungama that both parties attempted to avoid the clash as both franchises are highly valuable and hold significant audiences. However, despite the intention to not release the movies on the same day, Kumar admitted that contractual constraints with OTT platforms and creative factors made it unavoidable. ## "Nowadays, there are some constraints, like pre-commitments with OTT platforms. If you try to change those dates, the OTT platform doesn't allow it. That was our constraint, and they probably had similar ones", the filmmaker said. BB3 post-theatrical rights are with Netflix while Amazon Prime Video has Singham 3. ## Kumar, however, expressed satisfaction over the fact that both movies are performing well against the odds. "So it's okay as long as our film is getting so much love. And it has done enough business that the film is now safe", he added. ## Released during the lucrative Diwali weekend, Singham Again has scored a very good opening week of over 200 crores gross in India and over 250 crores worldwide. Mumbai, November 3 - Actor Kartik Aaryan scores his first 100 crores opener in the form of horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 after the movie showed excellent trend during the Diwali weekend despite a major clash with Ajay Devgn's Singham Again. ## After the career-best opening of 35.50 crores net, followed by a minor jump on Saturday, BB3 holds well on Sunday to score an estimated 32-33 crores net collection with a drop of around 10%-15%. This takes the total collection to around 104+ crores net in 3 days. ## The opening weekend collection of BB3 is almost double that of its predecessor which minted approximately 56 crores in the first weekend and 92 crores in the first full week. It is also the biggest first weekend for director Anees Bazmee and the rest of the main cast. ## BB3 has shown a better trend than Singham Again and the public reception also seems to be in the favour of horror-comedy. Mumbai, November 3 - Director Rohit Shetty's cop action drama Singham Again has a fantastic opening weekend at the domestic box office with around 120 crores net which is the highest ever for the director and actor Ajay Devgn. ## After an excellent first 2 days of over 40 crores each, the movie sees a drop of around 20% on Sunday for an estimated 35-36 crores net collection, taking the total to around 120 crores in 3 days. It has surpassed the opening weekend collection of Golmaal Again and Chennai Express to emerge as the biggest opener for Devgn and Shetty, respectively. ## The movie has done very well so far in collecting these numbers despite a major clash with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 which is equally doing fantastic. The drop might be a little higher but it was always going to be tough for the movie to sustain the collection on Friday or Saturday numbers due to holiday factors and the next day is a working day. ## It all boils down to Monday when the movie will need to hold well to get the benefit of a fantastic weekend and to have long legs at the box office. Are Singham Again Collections Manipulated by Producers?

Mumbai, November 3: Singham Again, despite competing with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, opened robustly at the box office on November 1, 2024, with an impressive India net collection of 43.70 Cr (producers figure). However, discrepancies in reported figures have led to speculation about the authenticity of these numbers, with some trade analysts citing collections between 38 Cr to 41 Cr for Hindi net. ## Our analysis reveals that the film's tracked gross collection from 13,810 shows on its opening day was 43.44 Cr. Typically, there's a 2%-5% variance between online ticket sales data and actual attendance due to last-minute bookings or ticket sales at the box office after online platforms close. This adjustment pushes the estimated online collection to between 44.30 Cr and 45.61 Cr. ## Moreover, the offline market, which includes single-screen theaters not represented in online booking systems, adds another layer to the collection tally. Historical data from blockbuster releases like "Jawan," "Gadar 2," and "Stree 2" suggest that offline collections can significantly boost total figures. For instance, "Stree 2" tracked collection was 47 Cr gross but later adjusted to nearly 65 Cr Gross due to offline sales. ## The offline market for the Hindi belt is around 20 Cr Gross. Given the Diwali release and competition, it's estimated that "Singham Again" captured about 11 Cr from the offline market, split in a 55:45 ratio with "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3." With an overall occupancy rate of 65% and considering data from over 100 single-screen theaters, we estimate "Singham Again" garnered approximately 7.50 Cr from this segment. Adding this to the online tracked gross of about 45 Cr, we arrive at a gross of approximately 52.50 Cr, translating to around 43.50 Cr India net. ## Therefore, based on our comprehensive analysis, we conclude that the collections reported by the producers of "Singham Again" are NOT manipulated. ## About This film ## This film is directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Jio Studios, Rohit Shetty Productions, and Reliance Entertainment. ## Singham Again stars Ajay Devgn, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, and Jackie Shroff in key roles. ## Stay tuned.
