Jr. NTR's 'Devara' Release Preponed?

Hyderabad, June 12 - Telugu superstar Jr. NTR is announced for October 10, 2024, release on the occasion of Dushera. Several other films are also eyeing this festival spot, including superstar Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan and now, there is a twist in Devara release plans. ## According to the Telugu media reports, the makers are planning to prepone the release of Devara on September 27. It is learned that power star Pawan Kalyan's OG, which was announced to release on September 27, has reportedly been postponed to the next year. ## September 27 is also not a straightforward date as Dulquer Salmaan's Lucky Bhaskar is already scheduled on this date while there are rumours that Ravi Teja's Mr Bachchan is also eyeing the same date. The shoot of Devara, meanwhile, is currently happening in Goa and the makers will make the formal announcement regarding the possible new date soon. ## Devara is directed by Koratala Siva and produced by Sudhakar Mikkilineni and Kosaraju Harikrishna under the banners Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts. Hyderabad, June 10 - The trailer of Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD has been released amid huge anticipation. Starring Prabbas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani, Kalki is the costliest Indian film ever with around 600 crores budget. ## The film is set against the backdrop of Indian mythology and a dystopian society in the city of Kasi, the last city remaining in the world as the film chronicles a journey spanning millennia from the events of the Mahabharata in the year of 3102 BC (the beginning of Kali Yuga) to 2898 AD. Now, the makers have initiated talks with other actors to come on board. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, Amit Rai and his team are in talks with Telugu actor Rana Daggubati to play the role of Aurangzeb in the historical drama film. The actor is said to be the top priority of the makers, however, the logistics need to fall in place for the actor to come on board the film. ## It is said that the movie will chronicle key chapters of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's life and the makers plan to treat it as a thriller, as the backdrop of the feature film is more on the lines of a jail-break by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the era gone by rather than treating it as a biopic. ## The shoot of the movie is expected to commence by the end of this year or early 2025. Mumbai, June 8 - Legendary Amitabh Bachchan is all set to play the role of God in the sequel to the 2022 Gujarati movie Fakt Mahilao Maate in which Big B played a prominent role. ## In the sequel, titled Fakt Purusho Maate, Big B will play the cameo role of a God. The family drama is based on the social themes of gender equality and conflict between generations. Jay Bodas who directed the first movie, will helm the sequel with Parth Trivedi. ## This isn't the first time Big B has stepped into the shoes of God for a film. He previously played God in Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra's God Tussi Great Ho (2008).## Fakt Purusho Maate is produced by Anand Pandit and Vaishal Shah and it stars Yash Soni, Mitra Gadhvi, Esha Kansara and Darshan Jariwala.
