Mumbai, June 24 - Bollywood star Sunny Deol is in no mood to stop after testing blood with the mega-blockbuster success of Gadar 2 last year. The movie grossed close to 700 crores worldwide and became one of the biggest Indian blockbusters of all time. ## After Gadar 2, Sunny Deol has been on a signing spree and the latest movie he has signed is Telugu director Gopichand Malineni's mass entertainer, tentatively called SDGM (Sunny Deol, Gopichand Malineni). Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory, the shoot of the movie has already commenced for 2025 release. ## Sunny Deol will be playing a common man in the movie who takes on a powerful villain. Gopichand Malineni shared details about Sunny's role in a recent interview (via Mid-Day). The filmmaker also revealed that the story is inspired by many real-life incidents. ## "I'll present him in a never-before-seen action avatar. After Gadar 2 was released, I narrated the story to Sunny sir. He said yes immediately, adding that he was looking for this kind of role. Sunny sir doesn’t play a man in uniform. While it is the story of a common man who takes on [the system] to fight for what is right, it is an unusual concept", the Veera Simha Reddy director said. ## Adding further, Gopichand Malineni said that they have roped in three action directors as there are strong action set-pieces in this movie. Apart from Sunny Deol, the two leading ladies, Saiyami Kher and Regina Cassandra will also be seen in fierce avatars. Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2' Trailer Date Revealed

Chennai, June 23 - Legendary Kamal Haasan is set to have a busy next few weeks with back-to-back releases, including the vigilante action film Indian 2 which reunited him with director S. Shankar for the first time since its predecessor (1996).## On Sunday (June 23), Lyca Productions took to social media to announce that the trailer of Indian 2 will be launched on June 25, a little over two weeks before the film's release on July 12. As known to all, the movie will be released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi languages under the titles Indian 2, Bharateeyudu 2, and Hindustani 2, respectively. ## Produced by Subaskaran Allirajah of Lyca Productions, the sequel will be released in two parts, with the third part (Indian 3) scheduled to be released in early 2025. In the movie, Senapathy, a freedom fighter turned vigilante who fought against corruption in India, returns from Hong Kong to aid Chitra Varadharajan, who has been exposing corrupt politicians in the country through videos on the internet. ## The film stars Kamal Haasan, reprising his role as Senapathy, with Siddharth, S. J. First MCU Actor Confirmed For 'Avengers 5'

Los Angeles, June 22 - The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is getting closer to its first Avengers movie since Endgame (2019) as the Multiverse Saga continues to move forward with its Phase 5 slate in which three films are left before the beginning of the final Multiverse, Phase 6. ## The next Avengers movie, Avengers 5 will mark the beginning of the end for Marvel's multiverse storyline, and as things are moving thick and fast, a massive update finally out on the first confirmed MCU star to feature in the film. ## One of the biggest MCU names in the post-Endgame era, Doctor Strange star Benedict Cumberbatch has been confirmed to be the first actor to join the massive ensemble of Avengers 5. During a recent edition of Still Watching Netflix (via Screen Rant), Cumberbatch looked back at playing Doctor Strange and also spilt a bean on the next Avengers film. ## "This is Doctor Strange. He's a Marvel character and, well, I'll be really honest about it, the joy of playing him is immense. But also the joy of playing him means I can help create and platform stories and writing and less commercial fare into being. He's a gift in many, many ways in my life as a producer, and as an actor. I love playing him. He's great fun. I'm very much looking forward to Avengers next year, which is cooking up a storm", the actor said.## Avengers 5 was originally titled Avengers: Kang Dynasty, but assault charges against Jonathan Majors, who was set to headline the film as Kang, forced Marvel to fire him and look for other titles. Mumbai, June 21 - South Korea's iconic K-Pop girl group, BLACKPINK's Born Pink World Tour is set to have a 92-minute concert film, slated to release on the big screen worldwide on July 31st. The concert movie is announced to celebrate Blackpink's eighth anniversary. ## Blackpink's Born Pink World Tour is the highest-grossing tour from an Asian act and a female group in history. The concert movie will be released in more than 110 countries in a variety of formats, including ScreenX, 4DX and ULTRA 4DX. The tickets for the same will go on sale on June 27. ## The movie is directed by Yoondong Oh and Geun Min and it will be released by Trafalgar Releasing and CJ 4DPLEX. The movie will chronicle the world tour that played to 1.8 million fans across the globe in support of BLACKPINK's chart-topping 2022 sophomore album, BORN PINK. ## Trafalgar CEO Marc Allenby said in a statement, "We are delighted to collaborate once again with our longstanding partner, CJ 4DPlex, for the new BLACKPINK release. Hyderabad, June 20 - Telugu superstar Jr. NTR's Devara: Part 1 has locked theatrical rights for Telugu states with still more than three months left for the release. Directed by Koratala Siva, Devara is one of the year's most anticipated Pan-Indian movies, and the trade is buzzing about its box office potential. ## It was reported that Sithara Entertainment offered a huge 120 crores to acquire theatrical rights for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. While the quoted price has yet to be confirmed by reliable sources, it has been learned that area-wise distributors have been locked. ## According to Aakashavaani, Dil Raju will distribute the movie in the Nizam area, while Poorvi Pictures gets Vizag, LVR Adithya Films locks for West and Vijyalakshmi Cinemas for East area. In Guntur, Radhakrishna Entertainments will release the movie. Bhaskar Reddy and Dheeraj Entertainments will release the movie in Nellore and Krishna, respectively. In Ceeded, multiple distributors will distribute the film. ## Earlier, Anil Thadani of AA Films along with Karan Johar's Dharma Productions jointly grabbed the theatrical rights of Devara for the North India region. It is said that they paid 50 crores to acquire the theatrical rights to the film. ## Devara is produced by Sudhakar Mikkilineni, Kosaraju Harikrishna, and Nandamuri Kalyan Ram under the banners of Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts. The movie stars Jr. NTR in the title role alongside Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, both in their Telugu debut. Thaman S is on board to compose the music for the film which will go on floors on June 22, 2024. ## It is the first time Sunny Deol has collaborated with any of the aforementioned names. The collaboration has been in the news for quite some time now and it has finally been made official. Bombay High Court Allows Release of Annu Kapoor's 'Hamare Baarah'

Mumbai, June 19 - The Bombay High Court has allowed the release of Annu Kapoor's Hamare Baarah after the makers agreed to delete some objectionable scenes. The movie, which was supposed to be released on June 7, will now hit screens on June 21. ## According to Bar and Bench, a bench of Justices BP Colabawalla and Firdosh Pooniwalla watched the film and suggested changes which both the moviemakers and the petitioners agreed to. ## The court, after a thorough review, also said that the movie did not contain any objectionable content against the Quran or the Muslim community, instead, the court found the movie to be aimed at the "upliftment of women", according to NDTV report. ## "The movie is in fact for the upliftment of women. The movie has a Maulana misinterpreting the Quran and in fact, one Muslim man objects to the same in the scene. So this shows that people should apply their mind and not blindly follow such Maulanas", the high court said. ## Meanwhile, the court imposed a fine of Rs. 5 lakh on the makers of the movie for releasing the trailer before getting CBFC certification. The fine is to be donated to a charity of the petitioners' choice. "Violation was there vis-a-vis the trailer. So you will have to pay something towards a charity of the petitioner's choice. The cost will have to be paid. This litigation has got the film so much unpaid publicity", the court added.## Hamare Baarah is directed by Kamal Chandra and it also stars Rahul Bagga, Manoj Joshi, and Ashwini Kalsekar, among others. In the movie, a woman takes her father to court to allow her mother, who is in the midst of a risky pregnancy, the right to terminate the pregnancy to save her life. ## Stay tuned...

Hyderabad, June 19 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD has completed censorship formalities with just over a week left for the release. The highly-anticipated sci-fi epic is directed by Nag Ashwin and it also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, and Kamal Haasan, among others. ## The censor screening of Kalki 2898 AD took place on June 18 and the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) passed the movie with a 'U/A' certificate and an approved runtime of 3 hours. ## The movie's 3D version was said to be shown in the CBFC screening and the reports say that the censor officials were left in awe by the film's groundbreaking visuals and Nag Ashwin's visionary direction. It is also revealed that there could be a second part of Kalki as the Cliffhanger at the end of the film reportedly came out very well. ## As reported earlier, Kalki 2898 AD is the costliest Indian movie ever for a budget of around 600 crores and it is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies.
