On the actor's birthday today, the makers unveiled the first look glimpse of the movie which has been receiving great response from fans across the country. ## Now, to celebrate the actor's birthday, the makers treated fans with the first-look poster which shows Suriya's warrior side. The poster is giving blockbuster vibes with the actor in a never-before-seen avatar. It shows Suriya as Kanguva, dressed up as a warrior, sitting on a horse running on the flames of fire with his army behind him. ## ## Produced by Studio Green and UV Creations, "Kanguva" features Suriya in the title role while Disha Patani plays the female lead. Chennai, November 10 - Tamil star Suriya's most anticipated movie, period action drama "Kanguva" has been in the making since last year and, the makers launched the first look teaser in July this year which received positive reception. ## "Kanguva" is easily one of the most anticipated Pan India movies and is the biggest movie of Suriya yet. There have been a lot of inquiries about the film's release as it is one of the most-awaited movies from Tamil cinema. ## While the makers are yet to announce the release date, reports are doing rounds that "Kanguva" will hit big screens on April 11, 2024, on the occasion of Eid. Hyderabad, July 19 - Thalapathy Vijay's upcoming gangster drama film "Leo" with director Lokesh Kanagaraj continues to make headlines regarding its theatrical business. The movie is in high demand across the country as well as in overseas markets.## Now, the makers have locked the theatrical rights of the film in the two Telugu states. Noted Telugu production house Sithara Entertainments will distribute the movie in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The studio has reportedly acquired the rights in huge 21 crores, making it the highest pre-release theatrical business for Vijay in Telugu states.## The movie stars Thalapathy Vijay in the title role while Trisha Krishnan plays the female lead. It also features Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Mysskin in key roles. Chennai, July 18 - Superstar Rajinikanth is all set to back in the action with director Nelson Dilipkumar's action thriller film "Jailer" which is scheduled to release on August 10, 2023. The much-awaited movie is produced by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures who also produced Rajinikanth's last film "Annaatthe" (2021) as well. ## The makers have been tight-lipped regarding the details of "Jailer", however, the official synopsis and runtime of the movie have reportedly been revealed online. It has been revealed that the movie's runtime is 150 minutes (2 hours and 30 minutes) and it is likely to get the U/A certificate from CBFC.## As per the rumored official synopsis, Rajinikanth is playing the role of a Jailer who stops a gang trying to rescue their leader from jail. "A Gang tries to Rescue their leader from the prison, where others are stuck at a problem, the Jailer of the prison shows off to stop them all", the synopsis read.## "Jailer" was officially announced in February 2022 with the working title Thalaivar 169, being the 169th film of Rajinikanth, while the official title Jailer was announced in June. Chennai, July 17 - The incredible rise of Tamil star Sivakarthikeyan continues as his latest Tamil political superhero film Maaveeran is set to emerge as a huge blockbuster for the actor. Directed by Mandela fame Madonne Ashwin, Maaveeran concludes its opening weekend with around 43 crores gross worldwide. ## Made with a budget of around 35 crores, Maaveeran took a fantastic opening of over 9.50 crores gross, before registering a good jump on Saturday and Sunday to bring in 11 crores and over 12 crores gross, respectively to score the domestic opening weekend of 32.60 crores. ## The movie had a fantastic weekend in Tamil Nadu with a gross collection of over 25 crores while it also did well in Karnataka, AP/TG, and the rest of India. It was released as Mahaveerudu in the Telugu language and scored approx. 2.50 crores gross. During the event, captain cool revealed why he chose to make his first film in the Tamil language, to which he opened up about his special bond with Tamil Nadu. ## "My first test debut was in Chennai. My highest test score was in Chennai, and now, my first movie is in Tamil. Chennai is more special to me, I was adopted here in 2008 when IPL started off. The film marks Vijay's second collaboration with director Lokesh Kanagaraj after the blockbuster "Master". ## "Leo" is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated Indian movies of the year, and the first look is anything to go by, the moviegoers are up for a wild cinematic ride.
