Thalapathy Vijay's Beast Release Date Locked!

Chennai, February 5 - After "Master" last year, Thalapathy Vijay is ready for his next box office monster "Beast". The upcoming action thriller was announced for April 2022 release by Sun Pictures. While the studio hasn't revealed the release date yet, the industry sources have confirmed that it would be released on April 14. ## The Sun Pictures production is creating a serious buzz among the fans and trade and seeing it as the potential blockbuster. It was originally planned to release on Pongal this year, however, due to the delay in the production thanks to the covid-19 pandemic, the makers rescheduled it for April 2022. ## The movie was announced in December 2020 as "Thalapathy 65". The shoot was commenced in March 2021 and the first look with the title was unveiled on 21 June 2021. The production of the film first took place in Georgia before it was resumed in Chennai and Delhi in India.## Written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, "Beast", features Pooja Hegde as the female lead alongside Selvaraghavan, Yogi Babu, and Shine Tom Chacko, among many others in key roles. Chennai, February 2 - The long-awaited Tamil romantic-comedy film, "Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal" is finally getting ready for the theatrical release. The movie is directed by Vignesh Shivan while he has also produced it under his banner Rowdy Pictures in association with Seven Screen Studios. ## The makers of "Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal" have announced that the movie will be released only in theaters in April this year while the teaser of the film will be unveiled on 11 February. Chennai, February 1 - The release date announcement of SS Rajamouli's mega-budget period action drama film "RRR" has once again created chaos among the other filmmakers. A couple of days ago, makers announced that "RRR" would be released either on March 18 or April 29, based on the covid situation in the country. ## Assuming that "RRR" will be released on either of the given dates, Tamil star Siva Kartikeyan's "Don" was announced for March 25 release. However, by surprising one and all, "RRR" makers, a few hours after the "Don" release date announcement, also finalized March 25 release worldwide in multiple languages including Tamil.## Since Lyca Productions is the distributor of "RRR" in Tamil Nadu and also producing Siva Kartikeyan's "Don", the decision of postponing the Tamil movie is looking inevitable. The movie would have still gone with March 25 date had "RRR" stuck to March 18. However, with the change in plans of Pan-India, "Don" will have to find a new release date, for which the announcement will be made soon. ## "Don", which is directed by Cibi Chakaravarthi, is one of the most-awaited Tamil movies. The movie was all set to release on Pongal 2022 but due to the 3rd covid-19 wave, makers postponed the release. It will now release at February end or in March this year. ## Meanwhile, Thala Ajith is readying to kickstart the shoot of his next film, in which he will be reuniting with "Valimai" director and producer duo of H Vinoth and Boney Kapoor. Now, according to the latest reports, actress Tabu has been roped in to play the female lead. ## While the official announcement is yet to be made, Tabu is set to romance Thala Ajith on the big screen after 22 years. The duo was last seen as lead actors in the Tamil romantic film "Kandukondain Kandukondain", directed and co-written by Rajiv Menon. The film was based on Jane Austen's novel and it starred Mammootty, Aishwarya Rai, Srividya, and Raghuvaran in supporting roles. ## Tentatively titled #AK61, the movie will mark Tabu's return to Tamil cinema after 9 years. Mumbai, January 27 - Goldmines Telefilms, headed by Manish Shah, has unveiled the Hindi teaser of Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay's 2017 blockbuster "Mersal". However, as speculated earlier, the Hindi dubbed version of the film won't be released in theaters. ## Directed by Atlee, "Mersal" is an action thriller film that stars Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role alongside S. J. Surya, Sathyaraj, Vadivelu, Hareesh Peradi, Kajal Aggarwal, Nithya Menen, and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in key roles. It is produced by Thenandal Studio Limited in their 100th production. ## Goldmines Telefilms has the Hindi dubbing rights and on Thursday (January 27), the studio unveiled the teaser and announced that it will air on the Dhinchaak tv channel soon. Chennai, January 27 - Tamil superstar Suriya received wide acknowledgment for his role in "Soorarai Pottru", released directly on Amazon Prime Video. The movie was directed by Sudha Kongara, who will now reunite with the actor for another film. ## In a recent interview with Variety, Suriya confirmed that he would be teaming up with Sudha for one more film. It will, however, go on floors sometime next year after Suriya completes his currently in the pipeline projects. ## For now, the actor is gearing up for the first theatrical release in more than two years in the form of "Etharkkum Thunindhavan". It was supposed to release on February 4 but postponed due to the covid-19 third wave and will now release in the second half of the same month. ## Apart from the release of "ET", the next film that will commence shooting is with Bala, who previously directed him in "Nandha" (2001) and "Pithamagan" (2003). Chennai, January 26 - Suriya's first big-screen release after two back-to-back direct OTT premieres, "Etharkkum Thunindhavan" has been delayed due to the 3rd covid-19 wave. The action-thriller, written & directed by Pandiraj, was supposed to release on February 4 this year. ## According to Only Kollywood, Sun Pictures has pushed the film by a couple of weeks and the movie will now release on either February 17th or 18th. Even though the 3rd covid wave isn't as serious as the 2nd wave, the state government has imposed a weekend curfew to curb the spread of the virus. It was a wise move to push the release of ET by two weeks as makers are hopeful that the situation will be normal by then. ## "Etharkkum Thunindhavan" is Suriya's 40th film. It marked Suriya's 3rd collaboration with Sun Pictures after Ayan (2009) and Singam (2010) while Pandiraj earlier worked with Suriya, whose production company 2D Entertainment had backed his projects "Pasanga 2", which had the latter playing a supporting character and Karthi's "Kadaikutty Singam".## Suriya's 1st film as a lead hero with Pandiraj, "Etharkkum Thunindhavan" has a huge cast in place including Priyanka Arul Mohan, who plays the female lead alongside Sathyaraj, Vinay, and others. The film's music is composed by D. Imman, whilst cinematography was handled by R. Rathnavelu.## Meanwhile, Suriya also has a film with director Vetrimaaran titled "Vaadivaasal". This Kalaippuli S. The movie proved to be a mega-hit in theaters, even though it was made available on OTT 16 days after its theatrical release.## There is no doubt that Thalapathy Vijay is the most bankable actor in Tamil cinema and expectations from his next movies are sky high. The actor recently completed the shoot of director Nelson Dilipkumar's "Beast". The action thriller carries a huge buzz among trade and movie lovers. This Sun Pictures production is scheduled to release in April 2022. ## Meanwhile, the "Bigil" star has started prepping for his next, which is going to be Tamil-Telugu bilingual movie. It is said to be the finest film, to be produced by Vamshi Paidipally, in Vijay's career. Dil Raju, who will be producing this mega-budget action drama film, said in a recent interview that Thalapathy Vijay has really liked the script and called it the best in the last 20 years. ## Dil Raju also has some big plans for the release of "Thalapathy 66". Though "RC 15" is currently slated for Sankranthi 2023 release, this slot might be taken by "Thalapathy 66", if the movie failed to meet the Diwali 2022 timeline due to the covid. ## "Vamshi has come up with a beautiful storyline. When I listened to it, I loved it. Vijay listened to the story and said that he hasn't heard a story like this in 20 years. When a star says this, it gives you confidence. The film's shooting will begin in March. If there are no delays due to Covid-19, then the film will release on Diwali. If it misses Diwali, it will release on Sankranti 2023", Dil Raju said in a recent interview with a Telugu television channel.## There have been reports stating that some of the noted actors and a top-notch technical team will be associated with the project. Aamir Khan Productions, yesterday clarified that "Laal Singh Chaddha" will arrive on April 14, 2022, as scheduled contrary to the reports of its postponement. ## The release of "Laal Singh Chaddha" will meet the much-anticipated Pan-India biggie, Yash-starrer "KGF: Chapter 2", which was long ago announced for that date. And now, Thalapathy Vijay's keenly-awaited Tamil blockbuster "Beast" is also looking for the same window. ## Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, "Beast" hasn't set an exact release date, but it has been announced for April release. Industry sources have said that it will be released on April 14, thus confirming the blockbuster clash with KGF 2 and LSC at the box office.## However, if all three biggies decide to come out on the same date, it will be "KGF 2", which will be affected the most. Being a Pan-India film, the movie is carrying a lot of anticipation and eyeing to be a potential highest-grosser of the year. In the scenario of the clash, its chances will get a dent due to screen sharing with the other two. ## Aamir Khan's "Laal Singh Chaddha" is an outright Hindi film and is expected to do well despite the clash with "KGF 2". Mumbai, January 21 - Manish Shah of Goldmines Telefilms seems to be on a mission of releasing Hindi dubbed versions of South Indian movies. While Shah is behind the revolutionary idea of airing dubbed versions on television, the recent theatrical success of "Pushpa - The Rise" in Hindi has raised the expectations from South Indian films as far as theatrical experience is concerned. ## Inspired by the "Pushpa" success, Manish Shah, who owns the Hindi dubbing rights of 80% of South Indian films, has already announced the Hindi theatrical release of Allu Arjun's 2020 blockbuster "Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo" on January 26. AVPL was the highest-grossing South Indian film of 2020 which was directed by Trivikram Srinivas.## After "Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo", Manish Shah has plans to release Ram Charan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu's "Rangasthalam" (2018). This Sukumar-directed is one of the highest-grossing Telugu films of all time. Meanwhile, if all goes well, Thalapathy Vijay's Tamil blockbuster "Mersal" (2017) will also be released in theaters in Hindi. ## Directed by Atlee, "Mersal" became a huge hit in Tamil.
