Jr. NTR's Film With Prashanth Neel To Be Launched On August 9

Hyderabad, August 5 - Director Prashanth Neel and superstar Jr. NTR are teaming up for the first time for an action drama film, tentatively titled Dragon. The film was announced a couple of years back but due to the other commitments of both the director and actor, the development of their maiden collaboration was delayed.## Over the past couple of months, there have been major talks regarding which film would Prashanth Neel be taking among Prabhas-fronted Salaar 2 and NTR-starrer. There were reports that Neel might go ahead with Salaar 2 as Dragon may need more time in the pre-production before taking in on floors.## According to the latest reliable reports, director Neel is proceeding with Jr. NTR and the movie will officially be launched on August 9 with Pooja Ceremony in Hyderabad. Though there is no clarity on Salaar 2 yet, the latest development indicates that Prabhas-starrer may not start soon.## Dragon will be produced by Mythri Movie Makers and it is easily one of the most anticipated Pan India movies in development. The details about the shooting, casting and others have been kept under wraps for now. ## Jr. NTR, meanwhile, is gearing up for the release of the long-awaited Devara Part 1, due on September 28. Mumbai, August 4 - After dropping below the 1 crore net mark (only the third time so far) on its 37th day, Prabhas-fronted epic blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD scored nearly 100% jump on its 6th Saturday at the domestic box office as it closes in the gap with Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan. ## Directed by Nag Ashwin, the sci-fi epic scored an estimated 1.25 crores collection (1.45+ crores gross) on its 38th day which takes its total collection to around 638 crores net (757.50 crores gross) in all versions so far. ## Kalki 2898 AD will cross Shah Rukh Khan's mega-blockbuster Jawan's 640 crores net (760 crores gross) by today or tomorrow to become the 4th highest-grossing movie ever at the Indian box office, after RRR (782 crores net/916 crores gross), KGF: Chapter 2 (860 crores net/1001 crores gross), Baahubali 2 (1030 crores net/1417 crores gross).## At the worldwide box office, Kalki stands at an estimated 1032 crores gross, including 274.50 crores from the international markets. Mumbai, August 3 - Kalki 2898 AD started the 6th weekend with a decent hold though the trend is slowing down. It has been difficult for Telugu movies to sustain for a longer period at the box office in recent times but the Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic has been defying odds to hold its ground. ## The movie scored approximately 65 lakh net collection on its 6th Friday (37th day), dropping under 50% drop from the 5th Friday which is a decent hold. Though the makers announced a heavily discounted offer for the 1 week from August 2nd, it didn't make much difference as it still could have scored this collection with regular prices with a few lakhs here and there. ## The total collection of Kalki 2898 AD stands at an estimated 636.50 crores net (756 crores gross) after 37 days in all versions. At this stage, it looks unlikely for the movie to top 650 crores net, however, it will top Shah Rukh Khan-fronted Jawan's lifetime domestic collection of 640 crores net (760 crores gross) in the coming days to become the 4th biggest grosser at the Indian box office.## At the worldwide box office, the Nag Ashwin's directorial blockbuster stands at an estimated 1030+ crores gross, including 274+ crores from the international markets. Hyderabad, August 1 - The biggest blockbuster of the year, Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD is nearing its box office run. The sci-fi epic has so far grossed an estimated 1042 crores at the worldwide box office and is currently the 7th highest-grossing Indian movie of all time. ## Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD has been in theatres for nearly 5 weeks which is unlike the recent Telugu movies as most the movies have been streaming only within 4 weeks of the theatrical release. It was recently confirmed by the makers that Kalki 2898 AD won't be streaming before 8 weeks of the theatrical release.## Kalki 2898 AD will start streaming on August 22, 2024, which is 8 weeks since the film's theatrical release on June 27. OTT giant Amazon Prime Video has the streaming rights to all South Indian versions, including Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil, languages.## Netflix has Hindi language rights to Kalki 2898 AD and the streamer also confirmed that it will start streaming on August 22, the same date as South Indian versions on Prime Video. Hyderabad, July 21 - 7 years after scripting box office history with Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion, Pan India superstar Prabhas has done it again as his Kalki 2898 AD has become the 7th Indian movie and the second for the actor to enter the 1000 crores club at the worldwide box office. ## The sci-fi epic, directed by Nag Ashwin, has done what it was expected to achieve before its release on June 27. It took just 25 days for Kalki to breach the milestone of 1000 crores worldwide gross, making it the 3rd Telugu-origin title and 4th South Indian film to do so. ## Kalki 2898 AD scored an estimated 990 crores gross globally in the first 24 days and on its 4th Sunday (25th day), the movie added another estimated 12 crores gross, taking its worldwide cume to over the magical figure of the thousand crores gross. ## Including the 5th Sunday collection, the epic blockbuster has minted an estimated 733 crores gross in India and 270 crores overseas. Hyderabad, July 16 - Director Puri Jagannadh and actor Ram Pothineni reunited for the sequel to their blockbuster film iSmart Shankar. It is one of the biggest hits in the career of both Puri and Ram, and now, the duo is looking to repeat the magic with the sequel Double iSmart. ## The last respective films of Puri Jagannadh and Ram Pothineni were box office failures but Double iSmart is expected to bring the duo in winning ways. There is genuine excitement for the movie among moviegoers and the makers have locked record business for the same.## According to Aakashavaani, Prime Show Entertainments, which earlier produced one of the biggest Telugu blockbusters Hanuman, has acquired the worldwide theatrical rights (excluding the Hindi version) of Double Ismart for 60 crores (6 crores recoverable and 54 non-recoverable). Mumbai, July 15 - Director Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2898 AD is a one-horse race at the Hindi box office and is marching towards 300 crores net club after a very good third weekend despite the arrival of new releases in the form of Akshay Kumar's Sarfira and Kamal Haasan's Hindustani 2. ## The Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic remained the first choice of Hindi moviegoers after it scored approximately 21.70 crores net collection, more than the combined opening weekend total of Sarfira and Hindustani 2's 15.80 crores net in the third weekend. ## The total Hindi collection of Kalki 2898 AD has crossed 250 crores net at approximately 255 crores after 18 days. The movie will beat SS Rajamouli's RRR (272.80 crores net approx.) in its 4th weekend to become the third highest-grossing South Indian movie in Hindi after Baahubali 2 (511 crores) and KGF: Chapter (435 crores). ## With new releases not performing to the level of expectations, Kalki 2898 AD is expected to continue to perform well for a couple of weeks and is on track to enter 300 crores net club.
