Hyderabad, July 6 - Another box office milestone unlocked for Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD as it has become the 11th film ever to top 500 crores gross collection at the Indian movie, and first of 2024. ## Directed by Nag Ashwin, the sci-fi epic crossed 500 crores gross in India after scoring another approximately 20 crores on its 9th day, taking the total to an estimated 514+ crores so far. Kalki 2898 AD is the third movie of Prabhas, the second for Deepika Padukone, and the first for Amitabh Bachchan to top this box office milestone while playing a lead role.## The latest blockbuster is currently the 11th highest-grossing title in India and is in touching distance with Prabhas' Baahubali - The Beginning which minted an estimated 516 crores India gross in 2015. Mumbai, July 5 - Director Nag Ashwin's sci-fi epic blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD inches one step closer to 1000 crores gross after topping 700 crore gross collection on its 9th day at the worldwide box office, becoming the first Indian movie of the year to do so. ## The Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted flick grossed an estimated 709+ crores worldwide, including 514+ crores in India and 195 crores at the overseas box office. It scored an estimated 25+ crores gross on its second Friday (9th day).## Kalki 2898 AD is the second film of Prabhas after Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion to top this box office milestone. Deepika Padukone, who plays the female lead in the movie, also scored his second 700 crore grosser after Pathaan in a lead role. The actress was also a part of Jawan which grossed over 1150 crores worldwide. ## Overall, Kalki is the 12th Indian film and the third Telugu-origin title to top 700 crores globally after Baahubali 2 and RRR, SS Rajamouli directed both. Mumbai, July 4 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD has become the actor's second highest-grossing film at the worldwide box office, after topping SS Rajamouli's directorial Baahubali on its 8th day of run. ## Directed by Nag Ashwin, the sci-fi epic grossed approximately 641 crores worldwide in the first 7 days, and with its 8th day's collection (2nd Thursday), the movie has topped Baahubali - The Beginning which grossed an estimated 650 crores worldwide in 2015. ## Kalki 2898 AD has been on a dream run since its debut on June 27. It became only the 6th Indian movie ever to score 500+ crores worldwide gross collection in the opening weekend and will end the extended first week total to around 675 crores. ## As has been the case with Prabhas' recent films, the Hindi version has once again delivered for the actor and added immense value to the overall collection. Mumbai, July 4 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD has beaten Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone's Fighter to score the biggest first week of 2024 at the Hindi box office. ## Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD has earned approximately 152.30 crores net collection in Hindi in 7 days so far, whereas, Fighter had scored 146.50 crores in its extended first week. Both the movies have had a Thursday release, leading to an 8-day extended week. ## Interestingly, Siddharth Anand's directorial, Fighter had posted a bigger opening weekend with approximately 118.50 crores net than Kalki 2898 AD's 109 crores. However, there will be, at least, a 15 crores difference between the two films at the end of the full first week with marching ahead. ## Fighter scored approximately 212.75 crores net collection in its lifetime run which Kalki could topple in the second weekend to become the biggest Hindi grosser of the year. Kalki also crossed the total collection of Ajay Devgn's Shaitaan which is now the third biggest Hindi grosser of 2024 domestically with approximately 148.25 crores net. ## At the worldwide box office, the Prabhas-starrer sci-fi epic has grossed an estimated 641 crores, including 468 crores in India in all languages. Hyderabad, July 3 - After another good day at the box office, director Nag Ashwin's mega-blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD has topped 600 crores gross collection worldwide in just 6 days, becoming one of the fastest Indian movies to achieve the milestone. ## The Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted tentpole has been on a winning spree since day 1 and breaking records left, right, and centre. After reaching the milestone of 500 crores worldwide gross in the 4-day opening weekend itself, the movie showed a strong hold on Monday to go past 550 crores and kept the momentum going on Tuesday to reach the next target. ## On its 6th day, Kalki 2898 AD minted an estimated 40+ crores at the worldwide box office, including 32+ crores domestically to take its total worldwide cume to around 610 crores, including an estimated 441+ crores in India. It will cross 450 crores in India and 650 crores worldwide on its 7th day. ## Earlier, the sci-fi epic scored the biggest opening for an Indian movie since RRR (2022) with 175+ crores gross. Hyderabad, July 2 - Kalki 2898 AD continues to score well at the Hindi box office after another solid hold on its first Tuesday. The movie is seeing a drop of around 20% from Monday which is a good hold as Monday was stronger than expected after the extended opening weekend. ## The Nag Ashwin's directorial blockbuster, on its 6th day, scored an estimated 13-14+ crores net collection in Hindi. This takes its total to 141+ crores in the dubbed version as the first full week is heading for 160+ crores net. ## The weekday trend of Kalki 2898 AD is almost similar to RRR in Hindi and it will probably be heading towards a similar finish. However, the lack of major new releases for another 10 days could give an additional push to Kalki in the second weekend to collect and there are chance it might finish above RRR in the long run. ## Apart from Hindi, Kalki 2898 AD also scored a decent hold in the other versions as all versions are estimated to be 33+ crores gross on the first Tuesday. The strong hold on Monday was crucial for the movie for its longevity at the box office and it did the same. ## Kalki grossed an estimated 40+ crores on its 5th day in India in all versions, dropping around 60% from Sunday which is a good hold after the huge weekend collection. It was the last film to sell over 5 crores tickets in Hindi. Baahubali 2 was only the second South Indian film, after Baahubali, to reach 100 crores net mark in Hindi. While no other film could come close to the footfalls benchmark set by BB2, nearly a dozen South Indian films have managed to breach 100 crores net mark in Hindi, with Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 - The Rule went on to become, not the biggest dubbed grosser, but also the biggest Hindi net grosser of all-time with over 800 crores. The latest South Indian film to join the 100 crores net club in Hindi is Rishab Shetty's Kannada blockbuster Kantara Chapter 1, which is the prequel to 2022's Kantara. The period folk action thriller has topped the milestone in 7 days, becoming the second Kannada movie and 11th South Indian title to do so in Hindi. Los Angeles, July 1 - It's raining records for Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD which has scored the biggest opening weekend for an Indian movie in North America as it entered in the top 10 highest-grossing Indian film there, according to trade analyst Luiz Fernando. ## Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD scored an estimated $11.2 million (93.35 crores) in the 4-day opening weekend+Wednesday previews and is now the 8th biggest Indian title there after beating Salaar: Ceasefire's $8.90 million, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani's $10.6 million, and PK's $10.60 million entire run there. ## Kalki 2898 AD will next surpass Padmaavat ($12.20 million) and Dangal ($12.40 million) in the next couple of days as the 6th highest-grossing Indian title in North America.
