Hyderabad, November 19 - Superstar Allu Arjun's Pushpa - The Rise was a huge hit in Hindi and made him one of the biggest stars in the country. He was already carrying a huge fan following among the Hindi audience and Pushpa was just a glimpse of that. ## Over the last few years before "Pushpa", there have been reports about his debut in Bollywood, however, nothing was made official as Allu Arjun was happy doing Telugu films. Now, Allu's father, Allu Arvind said in a recent interview that producer Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films had approached him for a movie. ## The veteran Telugu producer said that Vijan always believed that Allu Arjun was a Pan India star even before the release of "Pushpa", and this was the reason he approached him for a direct Hindi film. He went on to say and hints that Vijan may collaborate with Allu Arjun soon for a Pan India movie.## Dinesh Vijan has a good reputation in Bollywood. He has produced quality content over the last few years and set up his own horror-comedy universe. Hyderabad, November 14 - The OTT platforms have been on the rise since the covid-19 pandemic and they have also caused threats to the theatrical biz, especially the low and medium-budgeted films. To save small films, the Tollywood film industry recently announced some rules regarding post-theatrical OTT releases.## The Tollywood producers decided in August this year that all producers must hold their theatrical movies for at least weeks before releasing them on digital platforms. It was a welcome move from the producers' council and was lauded by the filmmakers. ## Despite the big promises, it seems the Telugu producers have forgotten their own rules regarding OTT releases, making a mockery of the so-called unity in the Producers council. Since the rule has come into effect, there have many films that haven't followed the 6-week rule. ## Movies like Swathi Muthyam and Ori Devuda were released on OTT within 3 weeks. Nagarjuna Akkineni's "The Ghost" too didn't follow the rule and was available to stream on the digital platform within 4 weeks. The thing here to notice is that producers do not follow rules if they are not beneficial for them. ## The Telugu film industry has been one of the major contributors to the all-India theatrical business post the covid-19 pandemic, but the early OTT release of the films has been affecting distributors and theater owners the most. While producers have been claiming that they are with the theatrical exhibition, their move indicates otherwise. Hyderabad, November 13 - Thalapathy Vijay's family action drama film Varisu/Vaarasudu is unlikely to get a big release in Telugu states despite the film being directed by senior and one of the biggest Telugu producers Dil Raju. ## "Varisu" is a Tamil movie that will also release in Telugu as "Vaarasudu". It is directed by Telugu director Vamshi Paidipally. Producer Dil Raju holds a huge command over the theatrical exhibition of the films and it was one of the reasons that he was able to book more theaters than the direct Telugu movies for "Varisu" in Telugu states.## Now, Telugu Producers Council has taken note of the aforementioned situation and has asked Dil Raju to not prioritize dubbed movies over direct Telugu films. However, despite the moral killing failure, distributors' confidence in the actor hasn't dropped as his next film Kushi is in red hot demand. ## Directed by Shiva Nirvana, "Kushi" is a romantic comedy film that also stars lady superstar Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the female lead role. The first-time combo of VD and Samantha is doing wonders for the makers as the non-theatrical and overseas rights of the film have fetched fancy deals for them. ## According to the latest Telugu media reports, the digital, satellite, music, and overseas rights of "Kushi" have been sold for approx. 90 crores. RRR Japan Box Office Collection: Becomes The 3rd Highest-Grossing Indian Film

Tokyo, November 7 - SS Rajamouli's mega-blockbuster RRR has become the third highest-grossing Indian film at the Japan box office, crossing Aamir Khan's comedy-drama "3 Idiots". ## The Jr. NTR and Ram Charan-starrer completed 17 days at the Japan box office and crossed the 10 crores mark. It grossed ¥185 million (Rs. 10.34 crores) through the third Sunday. "3 Idiots" grossed ¥170 million in its lifetime run in Japan and is now slipped to 4th position. ## The period action drama film also scored 122K footfalls in Japan in 17 days. The movie has been running on 209 screens, including 31 IMAX screens across 44 locations. It is the fastest Indian film to achieve these footfalls, scoring another milestone in Japan. ## "RRR's" worldwide gross collection has now reached 1125 crores, including over 220 crores at the overseas box office. In Japan, the film might reach at number 2 in its full run.
