Chiranjeevi's 'Godfather' Producer Opens Up On The Film's Box Office Collection

Hyderabad, October 12 - Megastar Chiranjeevi's political action thriller film Godfather is playing in theaters and doing decent business at the box office. As per the trade analysts and box office tracking sites, the movie has grossed around 90 crores worldwide.## The producers of the movie recently declared that "Godfather" has already grossed over 100 crores worldwide. After announcing the said numbers with an official poster, the audience, and the trade people started trolling the makers for allegedly exaggerating box office data.## Amid the allegations about manipulating numbers, producer NV Prasad has now announced in a press release that the movie has grossed 60 crores Share collection in Telugu states while the overseas collection is also very good, including $1.1 million in the USA. ## He said that the movie wasn't sold to others and was released by their own banners and also talk about the film's Hindi collection. "There are amazing collections everywhere. The film was not sold to anyone, we released our own. Revenue is very strong. The collections are amazing and beyond our expectations. Remaking "Lucifer" in Telugu was an adventure.".## It is not a common thing to change such a film and make it a success. Apart from overseas, Hindi collections are also strong. Collecting ten crores of revenue in the first week in Hindi is no small feat", he said adding that "Godfather" will release in Tamil Nadu on October 14 as it was initially stopped there because of Mani Ratnam's "Ponniyin Selvan" as a mark of the respect towards it.## "Godfather" is directed by Mohan Raja who gets praised for his direction as the movie received a positive reception from critics and the audience. Hyderabad, October 8 - Megastar Chiranjeevi's Godfather scores a jump of around 20% on its 4th day/first Saturday for an estimated 12-13 crores gross, pushing total domestic gross collection to around 60 crores. ## The jump on Saturday is good but the makers would have liked a bigger one considering the strong reviews and positive word of mouth. Nonetheless, the makers will still be happy seeing the jump as it found acceptance among the audience unlike Chiranjeevi's last film "Acharya" and that is a very good thing for the film's long run. ## Coming back to the first Saturday collection, the movie scores around 6.50 crores in the Share collection in the Telugu states, pushing the total AP/TG Share collection to over 32 crores in 4 days. After Box Office, Nikhil Siddhartha's 'Karthikeya 2' Scores Big On ZEE5

Hyderabad, October 8 - Actor Nikhil Siddhartha's mystical action adventure film Karthikeya 2 was a massive hit at the box office, grossing over 117 crores worldwide. The movie was also released in Hindi and grossed approx. 37 crores. It has been one of the biggest blockbusters of the year. ## Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, "Karthikeya 2" was released on the digital platform ZEE5 after 8 weeks of theatrical release on October 5 in Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil. Upon its digital debut, the movie continued from where it ended at the box office and scored a thundering 100+ crore streaming minutes in just 48 hours. ## ZEE5 didn't reveal language wise viewing minutes of "Karthikeya 2" but it certain that the Hindi version has contributed the most, followed by Telugu and Tamil. Hyderabad, October 8 - Veteran Telugu star Nandamuri Balakrishna scored a super hit with the action thriller film Akhanda in December last year. The movie marked NBK's third film with director Boyapati Srinu and it went on to become the highest-grossing film in Balakrishna's career, grossing over 100 crores at the worldwide box office. ## Nandamuri Balakrishna is now gearing up for his next mass entertainer with director Gopichand Malineni. Tentatively titled NBK107, the movie carrying a lot of buzz since its announcement and it is anticipated to extend Ballaya's box office success run. ## "NBK107" was originally planned for Dussehra 2022 release, however, due to the multiple postponements in the shooting and some changes in the script, the movie couldn't meet the deadline. Later, there were rumors that it will hit theaters during Sankranthi 2023, but it seems the makers have a different release date in mind. ## According to the Telugu media reports, Mythri Movie Makers, the producer of the film, has informed the distributors that "NBK107" will release on December 23 this year. Hyderabad, October 7 - Megastar Chiranjeevi's political action thriller film Godfather is doing really well after coming from the Holiday release and heading towards a very good first weekend at the domestic box office. ## The Mohan Raja-directed movie that marks Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's Telugu debut scores an estimated 9.50-10.50 crores gross, including approx. 80 lakh in Hindi on its third day/first Friday, dropping just around 30% from yesterday. The total domestic gross collection reaches approx. 48 crores in three days. ## In the Telugu states, "Godfather" scores an estimated 5-6 crores Share collection on Friday, which takes the total AP/TG share collection to over 26 crores. The advance booking for tomorrow is good and the opening weekend share collection of the movie is eyeing 40+ crores. ## "Godfather" hasn't had a big release due to the clash with Nagarjuna Akkineni's "The Ghost" which is affecting its business. "Godfather" witnesses an expected drop of just 35% from the first day for an estimated 15-16 crores gross on the second day. ## The movie, which marks Salman Khan's debut in Telugu, grossed approx. 13 crores share in Telugu on the first day, and with a drop of around 35%, it minted an estimated 7-8 share collection.
