The actor's latest blockbuster Jawan has become the first film ever to hit 70 crores net mark in a single day in Hindi.## The 70 Crores net single-day box office club looked like a daydream until Shah Rukh Khan's last blockbuster "Pathaan" threatened to breach this mark but fell an inch short. Nonetheless, "Jawan" went a step ahead and touched this rare figure on the 4th day of its run as a collection likely to be over 70 crores net by a good margin today. ## This is not the first time that a Shah Rukh Khan film hit the untouched box office territory. The actor has done this on three occasions when his films unlocked 40 crores, and 60 crores club. In just three days, the action thriller has crossed the 300 mark and is nearing 400 crores at the worldwide box office.## Directed by Atlee Kumar, "Jawan" has scored approximately 384 crores worldwide in three days, and with this, it has become the director's highest-grossing movie of all time. It has surpassed Thalapathy Vijay's "Bigil" lifetime worldwide collection of around 300 crores to become Atlee's biggest grosser ever.## Interestingly, "Jawan" is the maiden Bollywood venture for the Tamil filmmaker and also his first movie with the superstar Shah Rukh Khan. It is also actress Nayanthara, who has played the female lead role, the highest-grossing movie worldwide. ## Meanwhile, "Jawan" has had the biggest single-day collection at the overseas box office (without China) for a Bollywood movie ever. Mumbai, September 9 - Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan has an explosive first Saturday at the domestic box office with collection nearing the first day total. The movie witnessing a jump of around 40% which is phenomenal as second-day numbers were itself huge.## According to the early estimates, Jawan is eyeing 66 crores net collection in Hindi on its third day. The final collection might vary a little bit here and there depending on the hold in smaller centres. The collection today is more or less similar to the first-day numbers which is insane trending, to say the least.## Apart from Hindi, Jawan has scored an estimated 8-9 crores net collection in Tamil and Telugu versions today, for an all-time 74-75 crores net first Saturday, which is again almost identical to the first-day collection. Directed by Atlee Kumar, Jawan is course to emerge one of the biggest blockbusters of Indian cinema. ## The movie had a historic opening of 129.60 crores worldwide, which is the highest ever opening for a Bollywood movie of all-time, despite being a mid-week release (Thursday). On its second day, which was a proper working day everywhere, Jawan held extremely well and scored another around 110 crores worldwide, taking total collection to around 240 crores in two days.## The first two days of Jawan has already hinted what is ahead of it, especially with the kind of critics reviews and audience word of mouth it is carrying. Mumbai, September 8 - After the record-breaking opening day, Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan put up a fantastic hold on its second day which was actually a working day. The first day was a partial holiday due to Krishna Janmashtami which pushed the collection to some extra crores. ## The movie scored a drop on the morning shows on the second day/first Friday but picked up excellently in the evening and night shows as it is looking at, at least 47 crores net collection in Hindi depending on the size of drop in the smaller centers.## Jawan also hold well in Tamil and Telugu versions as estimates suggest 5-6 crores net for all-India 53+ crores net second day. The overall drop today is around 25-30% from the opening day which is a fantastic hold. The total collection of the movie reached around 128 crores net, including at least 112.50 crores in Hindi in two days.## The advance booking for Saturday/third day is huge and the third day collection could be around 65 crores net again in all versions before Sunday pushes collection further. Mumbai, September 8 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar's A-rated social comedy drama film OMG 2 has emerged as big box office hit at the domestic as well as overseas. Directed by Amit Rai, the movie has already crossed the 200 crores gross mark at the global box office, and now, it is heading to 150 crores domestic net collection.## OMG 2 had a good 4th week despite the heavy competition as it scored approximately 7.40 crores net, dropping just around 52% from the third week which is very good hold. This takes the total collection to around 149.25 crores net in 28 days and it could add another 1-2 crores more to take its total past 150 crores mark.## The film dropped heavily on the last day (4th Thursday) of the 4th week due to the arrival of Shah Rukh Khan-fronted "Jawan" which took most the screens away of the movie, plus the holdovers are also performing really well.
