Written by Luv Ranjan and Tarun Jain, the movie was a box office hit and left an open ending for the sequel.## Now, according to Pinkvilla, Ajay Devgn and Luv Rajan are reuniting for the sequel to the movie and set to take it on floors early next year. The original writer duo of Ranjan and Jain have written the script and it will be the continuation of the first part.## It is said that Ajay Devgn and Luv Ranjan recently met to discus the technicalities. Just like the first movie, family conflict will be the main asset of the sequel, and the makers aim to take things a notch higher on this front. ## The original movie showed the family conflict on Ashish's (Ajay Devgn) side regarding his relationship with 26-year-old Ayesha Khurana (Rakul Preet Singh), this time, the movie will be about the reaction of Ayesha's family to the relationship with a 50-year-old.## The film will be directed by Anshul Sharma who has been the Creative Director on Ranjan's past films "Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety" and "Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar". Mumbai, August 28 - August 2023 has turned out to be a historic month at the Indian box office with all films scoring well over 1000 crores net collection. This month particularly turned the tide for the Hindi film industry as it registered the biggest single-month net collection of all time in Hindi.## As of August 27, all the films have scored approximately 750 crores net collection in the Hindi language so far in the month of August. It surpassed the previous biggest single-month collection of 571 crores net, which came in April 2022 while the third biggest was 542 crores net in March 2022. ## So far, Sunny Deol-fronted "Gadar 2" is the biggest earning film in August with 456 crores net, followed by Akshay Kumar's "OMG 2" with 136 crores net, Karan Johar's directorial "Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani" with approximately 97 crores, and Ayushmann Khurrana's "Dream Girl 2" with 41 crores. Mumbai, August 28 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi are all set to reunite for the third installment of the "Jolly LLB" franchise. Arshad Warsi headlined the first movie while Akshay Kumar led the second installment. ## It was revealed last year that director Subhash Kapoor was working on the script of "Jolly LLB 3" which was later confirmed by Arshad Warsi. Now, according to Pinkvilla, the shoot of the movie will commence in February 2024 and is expected to be shot over a two-month straight schedule in Madhya Pradesh. ## "Subhash Kapoor has completed the screenplay and will kick off the pre-production at the end of this year. The third installment presents a clash between good and evil within the context of a courtroom. Like its previous parts, Jolly LLB 3 will also offer an engaging courtroom drama with the perfect blend of humor, suspense, and a pertinent social issue for debate", the report says.## The movie will be produced by Star Studios and it will also mark the return of Saurabh Shukla, who played Judge Tripathi in previous movies. Mumbai, August 27 - Ayushmann Khurrana's Dream Girl 2 ends the opening weekend with the very good collection after another good jump of around 15% on Sunday. The movie nearly managed to match the weekend collection of its predecessor despite facing a huge competition with Gadar 2 and OMG 2. ## As per the early estimates, Dream Girl 2 scores around 16-16.50 crores net collection on its first Sunday/third day, which takes the total 3-day opening collection to around 41 crores. This is a very good result for the movie as these sort of numbers were looking a far cry before the release.## The audience word of mouth for the movie is mixed, plus the brand value of the franchise help the movie to post these weekend numbers at the box office. The full first week collection could be around 65 crores net, considering the Raksha Bandhan holiday coming up.## Dream Girl 2 will get, at least, one more weekend to score before Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan arrives on September 7. Mumbai, August 26 - Sunny Deol-fronted Gadar 2: The Katha Continues has become the 3rd highest-grossing film of all time in the Hindi language at the domestic box office. It has surpassed Yash-starrer KGF: Chapter 2 which scored 435 crores net last year, to claim the 3rd spot.## Gadar 2, on its 3rd Saturday (16 days), reached around 440 crores net collection. It is now behind only Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion (511 crores net) and Pathaan (524 crores net). G2 is expected to reach 500 crores net mark by 4th week to become only the 3rd film ever in Hindi to do so.## At the same point in time (16 days), G2 is ahead of SS Rajamouli's directorial BB2 (415.05 crores net) and is behind Pathaan (442.50 crores net), but only just. With the current trend, G2 should come close to (or may cross) BB2 and then, it will be interesting to see how it withstands Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming movie "Jawan" which is scheduled to release on September 7. ## Directed by Anil Sharma who also produced it under Anil Sharma Productions with Zee Studios, Gadar 2 is a sequel to the 2001 film "Gadar: Ek Prem Katha". Mumbai, August 26 - Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurana is finally back in the game and delivered the biggest opener of his career in the form of Dream Girl 2. ## Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, the comedy-drama scored 10.69 crores net collection on its opening day, which is the biggest ever start for Ayushmann Khurrana, beating Bala which scored 10.15 crores net opening and went on to score 116.38 crores lifetime collection.## This is also the only third time that the actor's film has taken a double-digit opening. Earlier, apart from Bala, the original Dream Gil scored 10.05 crores net collection on its opening day and is now the third biggest opener for the actor. Dream Girl is the highest-grossing film of Ayushmann with 141.30 crores in lifetime net collection.## The initial word of mouth for Dream Girl 2 is mixed to positive, plus the franchise value should help the movie grow on Saturday and Sunday.
