Mumbai, September 4 - The fifth installment of the blockbuster comedy film franchise "Housefull" is set to be the most expensive movie in the franchise yet and one of the costliest ever in Bollywood, according to the investment plans revealed by producer Sajid Nadiadwala to Variety.## During the interview with the Hollywood website, producer Sajid Nadiadwala revealed that he is investing INR10 billion ($121 million) in U.K.-based projects featuring industry A-listers. Akshay Kumar-fronted "Housefull 5", which is gearing up to commence the filming later this year, is budgeted at $48 million (~400 crores) to be produced under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.## "Housefull 5" will be Akshay and producer Nadiadwala's most expensive movie to-date. Interestingly, the combined budget of the previous four films in the franchise approximately 235 crores and they together grossed around 800 crores worldwide. ## Apart from "Housefull 5", Sajid Nadiadwala is also currently filming sports drama "Chandu Champion", starring Kartik Aaryan ("Satyaprem Ki Katha") and directed and co-produced by Kabir Khan ("83"), and it recently wrapped a month-long shooting schedule in the U.K. ## Nadiadwala is also planning to continue his association with Saudi Arabia, where the first three instalments of the Baaghi franchise, headlined by Tiger Shroff, were filmed. "Baaghi 4", which is at script stage, will also be shot in the kingdom and will commence filming next year.## The fifth installment of the Housefull franchise will feature a massive star cast in the form of new addition as well as original characters. 'Jawan' Advance Booking Continuing With Strong Momentum; Targets 40 Crores For The Opening Day

Mumbai, September 4 - After taking an excellent start and creating all-time first 24-hours record, the advance booking of superstar Shah Rukh Khan's action thriller Jawan is continuing with the strong momentum, hinting at a massive opening at the box office. ## "Jawan" has been one of the most anticipated Bollywood movies, and when advances opened on September 1st, it got sensational response. At the end of the first day of pre-sales opening, "Jawan" sold over 200K tickets for the opening day which is an all-time record for a Bollywood movie in the first 24-hours.## As compared to the first day, the pace of the advance booking has slowed down a bit but that is because of the initial fan rush and now, neutrals are coming on board which is keeping the momentum going. As of 10 AM on September 4, "Jawan" has sold over 600K tickets (excluding block seats) worth approximately 17.50 crores gross for the opening day.## In the three national chains (PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis), the movie has sold around 250K tickets. Mumbai, September 3 - Sunny Deol-fronted period action drama film Gadar 2: The Katha Continues is continuing to rewrite box office history as it officially becomes the 3rd film ever to hit 500 crores net collection in Hindi or in a single language in India. ## Directed by Anil Sharma, "Gadar 2" entered the 500 crores net club on its 4th Sunday. The movie collected 7.8 crores net on its 24th day which took its total net collection to 501.17 crores. It joins SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali 2 The Conclusion" (2017) and Shah Rukh Khan-fronted "Pathaan" in the rare prestigious club.## The mega blockbuster sequel achieved this historic milestone on its 24th day, making it the fastest among all three movies to hit the landmark. Previously, "Pathaan" was the fastest to enter 500 crores club with 28 days while "Baahubali 2" took 34 days for the same.## "Gadar 2" has also crossed 650 crores with today's collection at the worldwide box office, becoming the 10th highest-grossing Indian movie of all-time. It has beaten "Baahubali - The Beginning" which had scored 650 crores worldwide in 2015. G2 reached 590 crores gross in India and 65 crores overseas for 655 crores total cume through 4th Sunday. Mumbai, September 2 - After the exceptional success of Pathaan, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is coming to set the screens on fire again, this time with action thriller Jawan.## Directed by Atlee Kumar, Jawan is easily the most hyped Bollywood movie in the recent times and this has been proved on the opening day of its advance booking commencement. As soon as the advances opened yesterday (September 1), tickets started selling like hot cakes and as things stand currently, the movie has recorded an all-time highest pre-sales for any Bollywood movie in the first 24-hours.## The advance booking of the film has crossed 10 crores gross (10.10 crores) collection with around 305K tickets sold in the first 24-hours for the opening day. The movie witnessed a drop of just around 52% from the second week which is a phenomenal hold for massy front-loaded movie.## "Gadar 2" was benefited by Rakshabandhan festival as it scored 63.35 crores net collection in the third week. The movie is behind only SS Rajamouli's all-time blockbuster "Baahubali 2 The Conclusion" which scored the biggest third week in Hindi with 69.75 crores net. ## Top 50 Third Week Collection Hindi/Bollywood Movies## The sequel has reached 482.45 crores net collection after third week (21 days). Mumbai, August 29 - Sunny Deol-fronted period action drama film Gadar 2: The Katha Continues continuing its heroic run and crossed 600 crores mark at the worldwide box office on its 18th day. It has become the second Indian movie of the year to achieve this milestone.## Directed by Anil Sharma, Gadar 2 has so far scored approximately 544 crores gross collection in India (460.65 crores net) while its overseas collection is excellent 61 crores through 3rd Monday (18 days). The worldwide box office collection of the movie has reached 104.60 crores to-date.## Gadar 2 has become the 12th Indian movie and 7th outright Bollywood movie of all-time to top 600 crores worldwide gross. Post the covid-19 pandemic, it the 4th Indian movie and 2nd Bollywood film to reach this box office figure. ## Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar's social comedy drama OMG 2 also having a very good run despite competition and not-so mass friendly film. On its first Monday (18th day), it topped 200 crores gross mark at the global box office and becomes the first movie of Akshay since Sooryavanshi (2021) to achieve this feat.## In India, the Amit Rai's directorial movie has minted 161 crores gross while overseas, it has grossed around 39 crores so far.
