Though Raut has directed only three films, his popularity has increased immensely post the mega box office success of Ajay Devgn's "Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior". ## Om Raut is currently working on the post-production of what could be his biggest film, Prabhas-fronted "Adipurush". The movie is scheduled to release on January 12, 2023, all over the world. Now, according to the reports, Raut has been approached to direct another mega movie, "Shaktimaan". ## According to a news portal, Om Raut has been approached to direct "Shaktimaan", which might have Ranveer Singh in the title role. Ranveer has reportedly shown interest in playing Pandit Gangadhar Vidyadhar Mayadhar Omkarnath Shastri aka Shaktimaan. However, the actor is yet to sign on the dotted lines to come officially on board the movie. ## "Shakitmaan", which will be made in a trilogy, has been adapted from a popular Indian 90s show of the same name. The legendary role was played by Mukesh Khanna in the show which became massively successful at that time. Sony Pictures International Productions earlier in the year joined hands with Mukesh Khanna's Bheeshm International and Brewing Thoughts Private Limited to announce the big-screen adaptation of the show. ## The talks with Om Raut and Ranveer Singh are still in the early stage and nothing has been confirmed yet. Mumbai, July 9 - Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for his first release in the form of Shamshera since "Sanju" (2018), on July 22 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The Karan Malhotra-directed period action drama film also stars Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor in prominent roles along with others. ## Meanwhile, two weeks ahead of the big release, Yash Raj Films has completed the censorship formalities. As expected, the movie has received a 'U/A' certificate, and the runtime approved for the theatrical release is 158 minutes (2 hours 38 minutes).## "Shamshera", which is YRF's last film in its pending slot, and to everyone's surprise, it is looking like the best bet yet for the production studio. The previous three YRF films couldn't do well at the box office, however, with "Shamshera", the studio is looking to get its first hit and there is enough indication for the same. ## The movie was launched officially in 2018, nearly a month before "Sanju's" worldwide release in June. Principal photography began in December 2018. For the film, a massive fort was built at Film City, Goregaon, requiring 2 months of preparation and the effort of nearly 300 workers. The filming ended in September 2020. However, due to the covid-19 pandemic, which started spreading in Dec. 2020, the release of "Shamshera" was postponed multiple times, and finally, after nearly two years, it is seeing the light of the day. ## The story of Shamshera is set in the fictitious city of Kaza, where a warrior tribe is imprisoned, enslaved, and tortured by a ruthless authoritarian general Shudh Singh. This is the story of a man who became a slave, a slave who became a leader, and then a legend for his tribe. He relentlessly fights for his tribe's freedom and dignity. His name is Shamshera. But, there will not be any more need to explain as some of those shows are making their way back in whole new different avatars and hopefully with the same charm and vibes, thanks to the production house Brewing Thoughts Pvt Ltd.## Earlier this year, Brewing Thoughts Private Limited announced the Shaktimaan film trilogy with Sony Pictures International Productions, and now, it has acquired the adaptation rights of another popular 90s show, "Captain Vyom". The show will be made into a five-part film as well as five-part web series in a modern avatar. ## The original sci-fi superhero show, created by filmmaker Ketan Mehta, featured Milind Soman in the title role and the show aired on Doordarshan from 1998-99. Mumbai, July 8 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has commenced the filming of his much-talked-about biographical drama film, tentatively titled "Capsule Gill", in the UK. Tinu Suresh Desai, who previously directed Akshay in "Rustom" (2016), is directing this Pooja Entertainment production. ## "Capsule Gill", is based on the real-life story of mining engineer Jaswant Singh Gill who saved the lives of 64 miners who were trapped in a mine at Raniganj Coalfields in eastern India in 1989, with Akshay Kumar playing Gill in the movie.## Meanwhile, a picture of Akshay Kumar while shooting for the movie has been leaked online. According to Variety, the image was clicked on set by a Kumar fan in a Yorkshire field while the crew was filming, despite Pooja Entertainment keeping the security tight and the location isolated. ## It is said that the upcoming movie is the biggest Indian production in terms of scale to take place in the U.K. yet, as Pooja Entertainment has reportedly blocked over 100 acres for the shooting of the film. The film is expected to wrap up filming in the U.K. by the end of August, before taking place in India for the rest of the shoot. ## While the official announcement is yet to be made, Parineeti Chopra is reportedly playing the female lead as Akshay's wife in the movie. This move impacted the exhibitors badly and also affected the box office potential of the films. ## The move of reducing the theatrical window was criticized by the theater owners but they were helpless and could do nothing but reduce the release window. However, with things looking bright now for the box office, reports suggest that the multiplex owners are to bring back the conventional 8-week theatrical window for all Bollywood movies. ## It has been said that all Bollywood films, starting from August 1st, will have to follow the pre-covid rule of an 8-week release window in theaters before going to OTT. The multiplex association of India said to have had conversations with all the producers and they are all on the same page now. Those, who will not follow the rule will not be allowed to release their movies in theaters. ## There are many big films from August onwards, which are carrying a lot of excitement and box office prospects. Akshay Kumar-fronted "Raksha Bandhan" and Aamir Khan's "Laal Singh Chaddha" are scheduled to release on August 11, and both movies will now be premiering on OTT, only after 8-weeks of theatrical run. ## The movies which are releasing in July, most of them will have an OTT premiere, 4-weeks after the release in theaters.
