Mumbai, April 26 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn's sports biopic Maidaan may have bombed at the box office but his supernatural thriller Shaitaan is still minting money and emerged as a box office super hit in India and worldwide. ## The Vikas Bahl's directorial was released on March 8 and has completed 7 weeks in theatres. Showing incredible legs, the movie scored around 1 crore net collection in its 7th week which pushed the total collection to around 146.75 crores (174.65 crores gross) in 49 days. ## Shaitaan is expected to finish around 148 crores net collection in India which makes it 6th biggest domestic grosser for Ajay Devgn while second best for R. Madhavan and biggest for Jyothika. Overseas, it has grossed around 37.50 crores for a worldwide total of 212+ crores. ## Shaitaan is the second highest-grossing Bollywood movie of the year after Hrithik Roshan's Fighter (359 crores) at the worldwide box office. Chennai, April 26 - Thalapathy Vijay's sports action drama Ghilli re-release box office collection has crossed 20 crores gross worldwide in 7 days after the excellent Wednesday in India and overseas. ## On Thursday, the blockbuster film scored an estimated 1.25-1.40 crores gross in India, pushing the total collection to over 14.50 crores in 6 days. The movie opened in the United Kingdom with a sensational 55 lakh which pushed the overseas collection to around 5.25 crores gross. ## Ghilli, after 6 days of its re-release, has earned over 19.75 crores at the worldwide box office and has crossed the 20 crores gross mark with today's collection. The 55 lakh opening of the film in the UK is the biggest for any Tamil movie in 2024, beating Captain Miller (50 lakh). ## The movie has a competition with Vishal's Rathnam which has been released today. Mumbai, April 25 - Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's fronted action thriller Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has crossed 100 crores at the worldwide box office but it is not a chest-thumping achievement due to the poor progress in reaching the mark. ## Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has taken 14/15 days to reach 100 crores worldwide, a target which should have been achieved in the opening weekend itself but the chances were dismissed after the below-average start. ## The movie has grossed around 69 crores at the domestic box office and an estimated 31 crores overseas. Chennai, April 25 - Thalapathy Vijay's Ghilli is showing excellent consistency at the box office since its re-release on April 20. After the excellent first two days, the sports action drama has no to minimum drop during the working weekdays. ## On its first Wednesday (5th day), Ghilli showed no drop and grossed another around 1.50 crores gross collection, pushing total domestic collection to around 13.25 crores in just 5 days. Jio Cinema Offers Lowest Subscription Plan In India

Mumbai, April 25 - Amid the steady decline in the popularity of digital platforms and to challenge other platforms in India, Mukesh Ambani's JioCinema on April 25 announced a significant two-third reduction in prices for its premium services for Indian customers. ## According to Mint, JioCinema premium subscription will now be available for as low as Rs. 29 per month for a single device and Rs. 89 per month for four devices in India. Previously, the platform offered its premium service at ₹99/month or ₹999/annually for streaming on up to four devices simultaneously. ## The new monthly subscription plan of Jio Cinema is almost 10X lower than the second-lowest Amazon Prime Video and Sony Liv which offer the premium plan at Rs. 299/month. Netflix, which is already facing difficulties in making a big impact in India, has the costliest premium plan Rs. 649/month. ## The new JioCinema plan includes online and offline viewing, in 4K quality, for foreign movies, TV series and kids' programming on any device in five languages. Mumbai, April 24 - Zack Snyder's epic space opera film Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver was the number one movie worldwide on Netflix's top 10 chart, but it failed to match the opening weekend numbers of its predecessor Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire which was released in December last year. ## Released on April 19, Rebel Moon 2 scored 44.2 million viewing hours from 21.4 million views in its first 3-day weekend. It generated 10.5% lower viewership than the first movie which scored 54.1 million viewing hours from 23.9 million views in its opening weekend.## Just like the first part, the sequel also opened to terrible critics' reviews while audience reception was also not encouraging which restricted it to below the first movie. The first movie managed to stay in Netflix's top 10 viewership chart for 5 weeks (including April 15 - April 21, 2024) during which it scored 78.4 million full views. ## The film takes place on the moon of Veldt where Kora and the crew of warriors venture to help the farmers to defend and fight for their home against the Motherworld. Chennai, April 23 - Thalapathy Vijay's sports action drama Ghilli is showing a strong trend at the box office after its re-release on April 20. The movie had the biggest opening for a re-release South Indian film at the domestic and worldwide box office before extraordinary hold on its second day which was Sunday. ## After grossing a solid approximately 8.50 crores in India in the first two days, Ghilli had another stronghold on working Monday as it scored in the range of 1.75-2 crores gross, surpassing the 10 crores mark domestically for 10.25-10.50 crores gross in just three days. ## The worldwide collection of the film is around 14 crores which is higher than the lifetime collection of recent re-releases.
