The studio has had huge success in the past with the Hindi release of South Indian films and Anil Thadani is confident that the upcoming films will also create history at the box office. ## Among the upcoming Pan India movies, superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD is making waves and Thadani's AA Films has paid a huge price to Vyjayanthi Movies to acquire its theatrical distribution rights to release the movie in Hindi.## According to a report by Pinkvilla, "Anil Thadani has paid an advance of Rs 100 crore to acquire the North India Distribution rights of Kalki. Like always, he will be going all out to give this epic superhero saga a wide release in the North Indian markets and has already initiated conversations with cinema owners to block the screens".## Kalki 2898 AD is directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by C. Aswani Dutt under the banner of Vyjayanthi Movies. The sci-fi epic stars Prabhas in the lead role alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani and others in prominent roles. ## The movie was supposed to be released on May 9, but reports say it has been postponed to May 31st or mid-June due to the general elections around this date in Telugu states. Box Office: Aadujeevitham Becomes Third Highest-Grossing Malayalam Movie Worldwide

Kochi, April 14 - Prithviraj Sukumaran's survival thriller Aadujeevitham: The Goat Life has become the third highest-grossing Malayalam movie at the worldwide box office after beating Mohanlal's Pulimurugan in 18 days. ## Directed by Blessy, Aadujeevitham grossed an estimated 137.50 crores, including around 82.50 crores in India and 55 crores overseas through the third Saturday (17 days). On its third Sunday (18th day), the film heading towards scoring an estimated 2.50 crores which will take its total collection to around 140 crores, surpassing Pulimurugan's 139.50 crores. ## Aadujeevitham is now behind only Manjummel Boys (232 crores) and 2018 (180 crores) as the third biggest Malayalam grosser, and it will finish with this position as it is unlikely to top any of the top two films. Mumbai, April 13 - Varun Dhawan's much-awaited action drama Baby John has reportedly been postponed from its May 31st release. Directed by Tamil filmmaker Kalees, the movie is still in production and needs some more time to be completed. ## According to a report by Peepingmoon.com, Baby John has so far been shot for more than 75 days since August 2023 but still has 10-12 days of shooting remaining, which is expected to be wrapped up by April-end. The movie will follow an extensive post-production. ## Also starring Keerthy Suresh (Bollywood debut) and Wamiqa Gabbi among others, the makers are now reportedly looking to release the film in June/July but the exact date will be locked once the shoot is wrapped up. Pictures/Legendary Pictures's Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire has topped 100 crores gross at the Indian box office, becoming the first for Hollywood in 2024 and very first in the MosterVerse franchise. ## Directed by Adam Wingard, the Godzilla vs. Kong sequel has grossed an estimated 102 crores in 16 days (including the 3rd Saturday). It is the first film in the Godzilla franchise to cross 100 crores gross, beating its predecessor which grossed around 60 crores in 2021. ## Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Godzilla x Kong is the 8th Hollywood film to enter this prestigious box office club, after Avatar 2, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Stranger 2, Oppenheimer, Mission Impossible 7, Fast X, and Thor: Love and Thunder. ## The film has performed exceptionally well in the non-Hindi market with more than 50% collection coming from South Indian states. Kochi, April 12 - 2024 is turning into a breakout year for Malayalam cinema which is again on the verge of scoring two more blockbusters at the box office in the form of Aavesham and Varshangalkku Shesham after their big opening day globally. ## Aavesham, an action drama starring Fahadh Faasil in the lead role, was released on Eid day and took full advantage of the national holiday by grossing approximately 10.50 crores at the worldwide box office, making it the biggest start for the talented actor. ## In India, the movie minted approximately 4.20 crores gross while the overseas collection is 6.30 crores, led by the Gulf region which is truly phenomenal. The movie is still in the early days but is showing all the signs of being a huge worldwide success, thanks to the unanimous positive talk. ## Another Malayalam film which opened hugely is the romantic comedy-drama Varshangalkku Shesham. Mumbai, April 12 - Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's action thriller Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was released on the Eid holiday but performed underwhelming at the box office. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the movie scored an estimated 15.50 crores net collection in Hindi. ## Eid has been one of the biggest days for the Bollywood box office but BMCM failed to seize the opportunity by not being able to generate enough buzz to score big on the day. Despite featuring an A-List star cast and a blockbuster director, the movie couldn't even make it to the top 10 biggest Eid holiday collections. ## There was Ajay Devgn's Maidaan also released but it also performed poorly, earning just around 4.50 crores net. Yash Officially Joins 'Ramayana' As Co-Producer And Actor

Mumbai, April 12 - Kannada superstar and producer, Yash has officially joined director Nitesh Tiwari's epic Ramayana. The actor-filmmaker's Monster Mind Creations will co-produce with Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios to bring this epic to global audiences. ## The upcoming adaptation of Ramayana is touted to be a dream project, not just for the talent involved but for Indian cinema overall. Apart from co-producing the film, which will be turned into a trilogy, Yash is also playing one of the main roles. ## Yash said in a statement (via Variety), "It has been my long-term aspiration to make films that will showcase Indian cinema on a global level. In pursuit of that, I was in L.A. to ally with one of the best VFX studios, and to my amazement, the driving force behind it was a fellow Indian. Pictures' biggest trailer launch in recent years, perfectly setting the stage for its big theatrical debut in October 2024, per Variety.## Among the trailers launched in 2024, the Joker sequel is behind only Marvel Studios' Deadpool and Wolverine, which was launched during Super Bowl Sunday with massive 365 million views. Mumbai, April 11 - The Bollywood box office sees a low response on Eid day as both the big releases of the day, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, and Maidaan fail to capture the attention of moviegoers with underwhelming numbers. ## Both films are struggling to reach the 20 crore net mark combined which is disappointing. According to early estimates, Akshay Kumar, and Tiger Shroff-fronted BMCM scores around 15-16 crores net collection, all thanks to the last-minute push in advances and Eid holiday factor. ## After the initial response in pre-sales, BMCM was heading for a low double-digit start but got some sort of momentum in the final hours and spot booking to get a little push in the collection. The movie needs a big push over the weekend to get a respectable weekend total. ## Ajay Devgn-fronted Maidaan, which is more of a multiplex film, scores an estimated 4.50-5 crores net collection on opening day. It minted around 2.50 crores in Wednesday paid previews, so the full first-day total is around 7+ crores, which would have been decent had it been a pure opening day. ## Maidaan is likely to see a good jump over the weekend due to positive word of mouth. Hyderabad, April 10 - Siddhu Jonnalagadda's romantic crime comedy Tillu Square, a sequel to his blockbuster film DJ Tillu (2022), has become the third Telugu movie of 2024 to hit 100 crores gross at the worldwide box office. ## The Mallik Ram's directorial movie has minted an estimated 73 crores at the Indian box office and 27 crores overseas in 12 days, earning more than 3X of the first movie that minted around 30 crores worldwide in its full run. ## Tillu Square, also starring Anupama Parameswaran, is the third Telugu film of 2024 after Mahesh Babu's Guntur Kaaram, and director Prasanth Varma's mega-blockbuster Hanuman, and the first for Siddhu to hit 100 crores gross at the global box office. ## The movie received super positive word of mouth and has been unstoppable at the box office since its release on March 29.
