Hyderabad, April 1 - Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Anupama Parameswaran's romantic crime comedy film Tillu Square, a sequel to 2022's blockbuster film DJ Tillu, has emerged as a big success within the opening weekend itself. ## Directed by Mallik Ram, the sequel is wreaking havoc at the box office and is performing like a top-tier hero movie and the hype generated after the first movie took the sequel to the next level in terms of the box office potential.## Tillu Square, in its opening weekend, grossed a solid estimated 55 crores at the worldwide box office. Kochi, March 31 - Prithviraj Sukumaran's survival drama Aadujeevitham: The Goat Life conquered the box office, scoring the biggest opening weekend for a Malayalam movie globally. The high-budgeted film is directed by national award winner Blessy. ## The novel-adapted feature was released on March 28 and grossed an estimated 64.85 crores worldwide in the first 4 days, including around 34.85 crores in India and 30 crores overseas. On Sunday, the film scored an estimated 17 crores gross worldwide.## The worldwide opening weekend of 65+ crores makes Aadujeevitham the biggest-ever Mollywood opener, beating superstar Mohanlal's Lucifer which scored around 55 crores gross in its first 4-day weekend in 2019. Superstar Mammootty's Bheeshma Parvam is the third on the list with around 45 crores worldwide gross. ## Aadujeevitham has strong advance sales for the first Monday which has almost confirmed its entry into the 100 crores worldwide box office club. Mumbai, March 31 - Warner Bros./Legendary Pictures' Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire shattered projections left, right, and centre to score the biggest opening weekend of 2024 at the worldwide box office, beating Warner Bros.' Dune: Part 2. ## The sequel to Godzilla vs. Kong (2021) scored mighty an estimated $194 million (1620 crores) on global opening weekend, the second biggest ever for MonsterVerse just behind 2014's Godzilla ($196M). It easily beats Dune 2 which scored ($182.5M) earlier this month to score the biggest opening weekend of 2024. ## Godzilla x Kong roared to $80 million (670 crores) opening weekend at the domestic (North America) box office, the second biggest in 2024 behind Dune 2's $82.5 million. Overseas, the movie minted a huge $114 million (950 crores) which is the biggest in MonsterVerse, beating Godzilla's $103 million. ## Outside the domestic market, the blockbuster sequel grossed a strong $44 million in China which is the biggest international contributor to the film, followed by Mexico ($12.8M), and India was the third best with a huge $5.5 million (46 crores). Hyderabad, March 30 - Siddhu Jonnalagadda's romantic crime comedy film Tillu Square, a sequel to his blockbuster DJ Tillu (2022), took a sensational opening at the worldwide box office, grossing 70% of its predecessor's lifetime collection on the first day itself. ## The much-talked-about sequel opened to positive reports all over which led to the excellent collection at the box office. Directed by Malik Ram, Tillu Square scored a huge 23 crore gross collection worldwide, including approximately 13 crore in India and 10 crore at the overseas box office on its first day. ## DJ Tillu, which was released in February 2022, had grossed approximately 30.50 crores globally in its lifetime run, which has been outgrossed by its sequel on its second day only. Kochi, March 29 - National award winner director, Blessy's survival drama Aadujeevitham: The Goat Life, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran has had a blockbuster start at the worldwide box office, emerging as one of the biggest openers ever for a Malayalam title. ## The movie took the box office by storm on its opening day, grossing approximately 16 crores globally, including 8.75 crores in India and 7.25 crores overseas collection. The movie is riding on the mostly positive reviews from critics. ## Warner Bros./Legendary Pictures' sequel to Godzilla vs. Kong (2021), and the fifth film in the MonsterVerse franchise, Godzilla x Kong is projected to earn $135+ million at the worldwide box office in its opening weekend, according to Deadline. ## At the domestic (North America) box office, the highly-awaited sequel is expected to gross in the range of $50 million on opening weekend while the movie is projected to earn around $85 million internationally over 63 markets. Some projections are indicating a $100+ million international debut. ## Godzilla vs. Kong, which opened day and date on HBO Max in 2021, minted $48 million over the 5-day domestic opening weekend. Mumbai, March 26 - Universal Pictures' animated martial arts comedy film Kung Fu Panda 4 has emerged as a success story at the Indian box office with a gross collection of over 30 crores through the second weekend. ## The fourth instalment in the Kung Fu Panda franchise and the sequel to Kung Fu Panda 3 (2016) has also become the fourth highest-grossing animated Hollywood film in India as far as the net collection is concerned. The movie scored approximately 26 crores net (31 crores gross or $3.75 million) in 11 days. ## Kung Fu Panda 4 needs another 6 crores net to beat its predecessor, Kung Fu Panda 3 (32 crores net) to become the third biggest Hollywood animated movie in India. Box Office: Dune Franchise Crosses $1 Billion Worldwide Gross

Los Angeles, March 26 - Director Denis Villeneuve's sci-fi epic Dune film series has crossed $1 billion at the worldwide box office. The second of a two-part adaptation of the 1965 novel Dune by Frank Herbert is currently playing in theatres, nearing $600 million globally. ## The first film was released in 2021 and grossed $435 million worldwide, including $109 million domestically (North America) despite opening day and date on HBO Max. The highly-anticipated sequel hit big screens on March 1st this year and stormed the box office. ## Starring Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya, Dune 2 scored the biggest opening of 2024 and currently stands at $575 million worldwide, including $233 million domestically. Combined with the first film, the total worldwide gross of the franchise is around $1.01 billion (8425 crores). ## Out of the $1 billion worldwide gross collection of the franchise, the domestic box office has generated $342 million while the international gross is $667+ million so far. Mumbai, March 22 - Dharma Productions' action thriller Yodha couldn't put up much of a fight at the box office with a low first-week collection. The movie stars Sidharth Malhotra, Disha Patani, and Raashii Khanna in the leading roles. ## Directed by Pushkar Ojha and Sagar Ambre, Yodha minted approximately 25 crores net in the first week, making it the first lowest opening week total for a Sidharth Malhotra-starrer as well as one of the lowest for Disha and Raashii. ## The movie's opening was underwhelming and despite a decent jump over the weekend, the movie couldn't hold the ground during the weekdays. It followed an absurd promotional campaign which couldn't help it generate enough buzz, resulting in a poor show at the box office. ## There is not much gas left in the film to carry and the new releases, despite not being driven by star power, will make its life further harder at the box office. There is Ajay Devgn's Shaitaan is running strongly.
