Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn's 'Singham Again' To Be Officially Launched On September 16?

Mumbai, September 16 - The third instalment of director Rohit Shetty's biggest cop franchise "Singham" starring Ajay Devgn has been in development and it is touted to be the biggest film in Shetty's cop universe which also includes Akshay Kumar's "Sooryavanshi" and Ranveer Singh's "Simmba".## "Singham Again" or "Singham 3" was officially announced earlier this year and now, according to Bollywood Hungama, the movie is formally getting launched today, on September 16 with the mahurat shot.## It is said that director Shetty is keen on starting work on Singham 3 and has locked September 16 to launch the movie. The movie launch event will reportedly be held in Yash Raj Films Studio in Mumbai and Shetty will attend it along with Ajay Devgn, Deepika Padukone, and Ranveer Singh. ## The movie will be mounted on a huge scale with a massive star cast on board it. Apart from Ajay Devgn in the title role, "Singham 3" will have extended cameo appearances in Akshay Kumar's Sooryavanshi and Ranveer Singh's Simmba. Deepika Padukone also marks her entry into the cop universe and will be introduced by Lady Singham. The reports say that Arjun Kapoor has been roped in to play the main antagonist in the movie.## The regular shoot of "Singham Again" is expected to commence by the end of this month or in October. There have been rumours about the postponement but those have been put to rest by King Khan himself.## On Friday (September 15), Shah Rukh Khan along with the team of his latest blockbuster "Jawan" held a press meet post the mega success of the movie. Mumbai, September 15 - It's more glory to Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan as he is about to script history at the North American box office.## After the all-time blockbuster success of "Pathaan", superstar Shah Rukh Khan is witnessing the same phenomenon with his latest blockbuster "Jawan". Directed by Atlee Kumar, the action thriller movie is running riot at the box office, be it domestically or overseas.## "Jawan", on its second Friday (today), will cross the $10 million mark at the US box office. This will make Shah Rukh Khan the only Indian actor to have two films to hit the $10 million mark in this region in the same year. Mumbai, September 15 - The record-breaking spree of mega-blockbuster Jawan continued on its 8th day at the global box office. The movie scored another 36.50+ crores gross worldwide on its second Thursday, which soared its total cume to 696.50 crores, making it the second highest-grossing Indian movie of the year.## Directed by Atlee Kumar, "Jawan" topped the "Gadar 2's" 676 crores gross collection as the second biggest Indian movie of 2023. The Sunny Deol-fronted movie, however, is still running in theatres but it is in no way going to catch the current top two grosser.## Domestically, "Jawan" has minted 469 crores gross collection (390 crores net) through the second Thursday while overseas collection reached approximately 227.50 crores. It is currently the second highest-grossing Indian movie overseas of 2023, behind "Pathaan" which scored approx. 397 crores while its worldwide gross stands at 1055+ crores. ## "Jawan" has topped 700 crores gross in the first shows on the second Friday and becomes the fastest Bollywood movie ever to achieve this milestone in terms of time taken. "Pathaan" has also taken 9 days to win this box office mark. With this, "Jawan" has become the 10th Indian and 6th Bollywood movie to top 700 crores worldwide.## Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, the overseas collection of "Jawan" is hugely benefitted from North America where it is nearing the $10 million mark. In the first 8-day extended week, the movie has minted approximately $9.75 million there and is currently the biggest market for the movie. The studio is now gearing up for its next phase of theatrical tentpole as well as streaming titles.## It is known to everyone that YRF is working on a four-part thriller web series, titled "The Railway Men". It is about a tribute to the unsung heroes of the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy, during which, a cloud of toxic gas escaped from an American pesticide plant, in 1984, in the central Indian city of Bhopal. It killed and injured thousands of people. ## YRF has now partnered with the leading streaming platform Netflix to bring the series to the screens. Mumbai, September 15 - Independence Day 2023 proved to be a historic week for the Indian box office which saw three Indian blockbusters joining hands to score huge collections. Thanks to the mammoth response to Sunny Deol-fronted Gadar 2, Rajinikanth-starrer Jailer, and Akshay Kumar's OMG 2, August 2023 has already become the biggest single month net collection scorer of all-time at the Indian box office.## The box office juggernaut of the aforementioned three films continued ever after August, as all three films have now combined generated over 1000+ crores net collection. This is only the second time that Indian movies have topped 1000+ crores net collection after being released in the same weekend. Earlier, SS Rajamouli's magnum opus "Baahubali 2" did the same in 2017.## Gadar 2## The sequel to the all-time blockbuster "Gadar: Ek Prem Katha", Gadar 2 has turned out to be a monstrous blockbuster and is only the 3rd movie ever to top 500 crores net in Hindi, and only the second outright Bollywood movie to do so. In its 5 weeks of run so far, the movie has scored 517.28 crores and is still in the race to top "Pathaan" (524+ crores) to become the biggest Hindi movie ever domestically in terms of net collection. Worldwide, G2 has grossed approximately 676 crores so far.## Jailer## Superstar Rajinikanth's action drama, which was released on August 10, has had an unprecedented run so far. In 36 days so far, Jailer has minted 343.75 crores net in all versions, emerging as the second biggest Tamil movie ever, behind Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar's "2.0" which scored approx. 407 crores net. At the worldwide box office, Jailer has crossed the 600 crores gross mark, again the second highest-grossing after "2.0" (744 crores).## OMG 2## The social comedy-drama film, which is a sequel to "OMG" (2012) scored a timely success for superstar Akshay Kumar who was going through a lean phase. In its 5th week, the movie crossed 150 crores net box office mark, becoming the 5th Bollywood movie of the year to do so. Worldwide, it has generated 220 crores gross in 5 weeks.## All three aforementioned films have almost completed their runs at the box office, but not before doing the unthinkable.##

Mumbai, September 14 - Shah Rukh Khan's mega-blockbuster Jawan has a fantastic extended first week at the domestic box office. The movie has already beaten SRK's own blockbuster Pathaan to score the biggest first week ever for a Bollywood as well as a Hindi movie.## The action thriller, on its second Thursday, scored an estimated 18 crores net collection in Hindi which takes its total cume to around 345 crores in 8 days. Additionally, it minted an estimated 1.50 crores in Tamil and Telugu versions for all India 19.50 crores second Thursday.## Jawan witnessed a drop of around 15% today which is a good hold as overall collections are huge. The total all-India net collection is over 387 crores in the extended 8-day week and tomorrow, on its second Friday, Jawan will hit the 400 crores mark in all versions.## There is no competition for Jawan in the second weekend which should help it to score 75+ crores net. It will be looking to top 500 crores net by the end of the second week in all versions, while in Hindi, Jawan should be able to hit this mark in the third week.## Meanwhile, with today's collection (second Thursday), Jawan also has crossed 2 crores footfalls in all versions, including approximately 1.70 crores in Hindi alone. The duo had earlier collaborated on "Soorarai Pottru" (2020) which won critical acclaim and also scored 5 National awards. ## Three years after the "Soorarai Pottru", the duo of Suriya and Sudha are gearing up for the second collaboration and for that, they have locked a solid rest of the primary cast. Tentatively titled "Suriya 43", the movie will be produced by Suriya's 2D Entertainment. ## The movie has been in the news regarding its casting. Suriya will play the main lead, and reliable reports have confirmed that Malayalam actress Nazriya Nazim is in the advanced talks to play the female lead. The reports have also confirmed that Dulquer Salmaan has been roped in and he is likely to play the brother's role of Suriya's character.## Apart from the aforementioned actors, the latest to join this solid cast is the Hindi film actor, Vijay Varma. He will reportedly be playing the main antagonist in the film which will be released in multiple languages, including Hindi. The 8-day extended first week of "Jawan" is looking to be around 346 crores net while "Pathaan" had scored 336 crores in as many days.## "Jawan" and "Pathaan" are the only two films to top 300 crores net collection in the first week in Hindi. London, September 13 - Thalapathy Vijay-fronted gangster drama Leo is all set to open big at the UK box office. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the advance booking of the film is going on in a rampage mode despite being opened more than one month before the release.## Ahimsa Entertainment, which will be distributing the movie in the UK, previously announced that "Leo" sold a record-breaking 10,000+ tickets in the first 24 hours since the opening of advance booking, which is believed to be the all-time fastest to 10K tickets record for an Indian movie in the UK. ## The studio has now shared the latest advance booking update that the movie has sold over 18K tickets so far for all day, including around 15K tickets for the opening day. The advance booking has been opened in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi versions, however, the response to the Hindi version is slow compared to the other two languages.## "Leo", with still more than one month to go before its release, is expected to sell the highest number of tickets for the Indian movie on the opening day. The collection remains over 20 crores net in Hindi which is a fantastic hold, in its bid to become the 3rd Bollywood movie to top 500 crores lifetime Hindi net.## The day-wise trending of Jawan is better than SRK's last blockbuster Pathaan as collections on the first Monday and Tuesday are higher than the later one. On its first Wednesday, Jawan scored an estimated 21.50 crore net, which takes the total Hindi collection to around 327 crores in 7 days.## The drop today is around 10% from Tuesday which is fantastic as the collection yesterday was itself a huge one of 24 crores. Additionally, Jawan scored an estimated 1.50 crores net in the Tamil and Telugu versions today, for all India 23 crores net collection first Tuesday/7th day.## The total collection of Jawan is around 368 crores with today's collection and the 8-day extended first week is looking at around 387 crores net. The second weekend will be crucial for the movie as far as its long run is concerned. Hyderabad, September 13 - One of the most-anticipated Pan Indian movies, Prabhas-fronted Salaar Part 1 - Ceasefire was all set to hit the big screens on September 28, however, due to the delay in the post-production work, the movie was officially postponed indefinitely.## The advance booking for the movie was also opened overseas but due to the postponement, it has been stopped. The buzz for the movie is high despite the delay, and now, according to the latest reports, the makers have taken full use of the high buzz and have sold the non-theatrical rights of "Salaar" for a whopping sum.## According to Bollywood Hungama, "Salaar's" satellite rights have been bagged by Star TV for all 5 languages in which the movie will be released, Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. Netflix is said to have acquired the digital rights of all 5 languages. Including the audio rights, the movie fetched a whopping 350 crores sum for non-theatrical rights, per report.## Directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Hombale Films, "Salaar" new release date is yet to be locked. As per reports, the makers are considering a couple of options to bring the movie to theatres worldwide. It is said that the movie could either be released in November this year or January 2024.
