Mumbai, July 23 - Filmmaker Karan Johar's much-awaited romantic family drama film "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani" is getting ready to release this Friday, July 28. The movie stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the leading roles alongside Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi in key roles. ## According to Bollywood Hungama, RRKPK has been made in a budget of 160 crores while the additional cost is around 18 crores, making it 178 crores budgeted movie. Meanwhile, the makers have already recovered 90% through the non-theatrical rights so it will easily turn out to be a big profitable venture. ## It is said that the makers have sold the post-theatrical streaming rights to Amazon Prime Video for a whopping 80 crores while satellite rights sold to Colors for 50 crores, and another Rs. 30 crores coming from the sale of its music rights to Saregama. The makers have recovered a total of 160 crores from non-theatrical rights. ## RRKPK is expected to perform well at the box office as well given the huge scale and a rock-solid star cast with a blockbuster director. On the actor's birthday today, the makers unveiled the first look glimpse of the movie which has been receiving great response from fans across the country. ## Now, to celebrate the actor's birthday, the makers treated fans with the first-look poster which shows Suriya's warrior side. The poster is giving blockbuster vibes with the actor in a never-before-seen avatar. It shows Suriya as Kanguva, dressed up as a warrior, sitting on a horse running on the flames of fire with his army behind him. ## ## Produced by Studio Green and UV Creations, "Kanguva" features Suriya in the title role while Disha Patani plays the female lead. Now, according to a report in Mid-Day, Bazmee has locked a quirky and catchy title, keeping with the light-hearted flavor of the story. ## The report reveals that the maiden collaboration between Shahid and Bazmee has been titled "Ek Saath Do Do". The title is said to be in sync with Shahid's double role. ## "Anees has locked Ek Saath Do Do as the title to harp on the actor's double role. The name can even be read as 1.7.22. The date is of significance in the narrative, and ties in neatly with the protagonist and his twin's journey", a source from the creative team revealed to Mid-Day.## The shoot of "Ek Sath Do Do" will commence at a specially designed set of a Rajasthani haveli in a Mumbai studio. "A chunk of the film is set in a Rajasthani village. After the monsoon, the team will head to the desert state for an extensive schedule. Rashmika will join the unit after the second schedule", the report further says.## Shahid Kapoor, meanwhile, will next be seen in producer Dinesh Vijan's untitled rom-com, co-starring Kriti Sanon as the female lead. Mumbai, July 22 - Christopher Nolan's atom bomb movie "Oppenheimer" has an explosive first Saturday, after a very good opening day of 14.50 crores net collection at the Indian box office. ## The movie is having strong collection across the country and with a jump of around 15-20%, it scored an estimated 17-17.50 crores net (~20.50 crores gross) on its second day. The total collection through the first Saturday reaches around 32 crores net (~38 crores gross).## The brand value of Christopher Nolan is driving massive biz. It is mainly in the original English format as the Hindi version contributed just 15% to the opening day collection. The same trend is also being witnessed on its second day as well where the English version is ruling the overall biz. ## The fellow Hollywood movie, "Barbie" also witnessed a good jump today after a good opening day of 5 crores net. With an increase of around 25%, "Barbie" scored an estimated 6.50 crores net collection today, which takes the two days total to around 11.50 crores net. ## "Barbie" has done well in the first days against a solid competitor in Nolan as well as the holdover movies. It could have easily scored a few more had there been no "Oppenheimer" up against it. The word of mouth for both movies is solid and a combined weekend total is looking to be around 70 crores net (83 crores gross). ## Meanwhile, Tom Cruise is not going anywhere as his latest blockbuster "Mission Impossible 7" scored a solid estimated 4.50 crores net (+80%) on its second Saturday at the Indian box office. Mumbai, July 22 - Acclaimed Bollywood filmmaker Anubhav Sinha is set to produce a small-town love story film starring Rajkummar Rao and Vaani Kapoor in the lead roles under his production banner Benaras Media Works, as per the reports.## The movie, tentatively titled "Bachpan Ka Pyaar", will be directed by Apurva Dhar Badgaiyann, who previously helmed the Jitendra Kumar-starrer romantic comedy "Chaman Bahaar" (2020). Los Angeles, July 21 - The Barbenheimer is well and truly arrived after Greta Gerwig's "Barbie" and Christopher Nolan's "Oppenheimer" off to explosive starts in the previews at the domestic (North America) box office and are set to blow up opening weekend projections.## The Margot Robbie-led fantasy comedy film, based on the Barbie fashion dolls by Mattel, "Barbie" scored the biggest Thursday previews of 2023 with an excellent $22.3 million, ahead of "Guardians of The Galaxy Vol 3's" $17.5 million. It is set to overcome industry projections and is now eyeing a mammoth $140+ million opening weekend launch. ## Christopher Nolan's atom bomb movie "Oppenheimer" too is set for a huge weekend after explosive $10.50 million Thursday previews, the biggest ever for Christopher Nolan's original film.
