Massive Budget For Ranbir Kapoor's Epic 'Ramayana'
Mumbai, May 14 - After years of planning and intensive pre-production work, director Nitesh Tiwari's epic Ramayana recently went on floors with Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi who are playing the role of lord Ram and goddess Sita, respectively. Yash plays the character of Raavan. ## Ramayana is easily the most-anticipated Indian movie in the works and now, according to the reports, it is going to be the costliest Indian film ever. It is said that the makers have allotted a staggering budget of $100 million (835 crores) for Ramayana Part 1. ## The aforementioned budget could be exaggerated as some reports say that the makers are not willing to invest that much money into the movie, however, the entire team is confident that Ramayana will be the next big thing in Indian cinema. ## Not many Indian films have been made on a budget of over 500 crores. Prabhas-fronted Adipurush, which is also based on Ramayana, was reportedly made on a budget of around 450 crores while the actor's upcoming movie, Kalki 2898 AD, which is scheduled to release on June 27, reportedly has a budget of 600 crores which is highest for an Indian movie to date. ## Stay tuned...
