Chennai, March 1 - After a disappointing outing with Vidaamuyarchi, Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar is gearing up for a potential big comeback with his upcoming movie Good Bad Ugly, of which, the teaser has taken the internet by storm with unanimous positive reception. ## Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, the Good Bad Ugly teaser was launched on February 28 and as expected, it has skyrocketed the hype for the movie with the record-breaking viewership. As per the official post by the makers, the action-packed teaser has become the most-viewed Kollywood teaser on the first day. ## The teaser has generated a massive 32+ million views on YouTube in the original Tamil version in the first 24 hours, making it the most-watched Tamil teaser ever. Chennai, February 28 - The Tamil film industry has its first Blockbuster in the form of a coming-of-age comedy-drama Dragon. The film is headlined by the rising Tamil star Pradeep Ranganathan who has also written the script with Ashwath Marimuthu. ## Directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, Dragon has completed its first week, grossing approximately 77.50 crores at the worldwide box office. This already makes it the second highest-grossing Tamil movie of 2025, behind only Ajith Kumar's Vidaamuyarchi (136 crores gross). ## Released on February 21, Dragon opened to super positive reviews and reception from the audience which led to the biggest opening for the actor with double-digit numbers worldwide. The movie showed impressive growth over the weekend and remained rock solid during the weekdays to put up huge box office numbers. ## In India, the film has grossed approximately 58 crores, including over 39.50 crores in Tamil Nadu alone. Chennai, January 5 - Vijay Sethupathi's action thriller Maharaja missed out on entering the 200 crores club at the worldwide box office despite a superb run in China where it has become the highest-grossing Indian movie since 2018. ## Directed by Nithilan Swaminathan, Maharaja has been fantastic on the mainland, finishing with approximately 91.65 crores as the 10th highest-grossing Indian film there. The film was released on November 29 last year in China, and thanks to positive word of mouth, it kept climbing at the box office before running out of gas. ## Earlier, the blockbuster grossed approximately 107.50 crores worldwide and it looked like the China collection would take it past 200 crores gross. The film has exceeded expectations in the Mainland and is crawling towards the 100 crore mark. ## Directed by Nithilan Swaminathan, Maharaja has grossed approximately 85.75 crores ($10.12 million) through the third Thursday (21 days) in China, outgrossing the lifetime total of SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 (80.50 crores gross) to become the biggest South Indian grosser there. ## The film's pace at the box office has slowed, so it needs to be seen if it goes on to touch the 100 crore mark in China.
