Thalapathy Vijay's 'Beast' To Hit Big Screens In Summer 2022!

Chennai, September 2022: Thalapathy Vijay's upcoming film "Beast" is one of the most-awaited films. His last release "Master" was a blockbuster and the expectations are even higher this time. While the shooting of "Beast" is currently underway in Delhi, the speculations around its release have been making noise over the last couple of months. ## Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, "Beast" has been looked at as a Pongal 2022 release. However, with the Pongal festival is already full of potential blockbusters, and the fact that the shooting of "Beast" is yet to be completed, the makers of the films have reportedly changed their Pongal release plans. ## According to Pinkvilla, the makers have decided on delaying the film to the Summer 2022 window, most probably in April end. The shooting is nearly 60% completed and the entire shoot is expected to wrap on November 20. The film moves into the post-production stage thereafter. ## Beast, produced by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures, is said to be set against the backdrop of a mall taken over by the terrorists resulting in a hostage-like situation. The mall sequence was shot in Chennai a few weeks ago. The film is loaded with strong and raw human emotions around Thalapathy Vijay's character. ## The movie also stars Pooja Hegde in the female lead role opposite Vijay. There are three antagonists in the movie, and one of them is Selvaraghaavan. One of the other baddie roles is played by famous Malayalam actor Shine Tom Kochacko. The rural entertainer, Viruman, will be produced by Karthi's brother Suriya and Jyotika under their banner 2D Entertainment.## Acclaimed director Shankar's daughter, Aditi Shankar, has been paired opposite Karthi in "Viruman". It marks the younger daughter of Shankar's film debut. The movie also stars Prakash Raj and Soori in key roles. While the actress received global appreciation for her act, she also came under serious criticism for portraying a Tamil rebellion called Razi in the Amazon Prime Video series. ## The Tamil Nadu government had urged the Centre to ban the show after the trailer was released. Tamil Nadu's IT Minister T Mano Thangaraj had written a letter that said that the series "not only hurt the sentiments of Eelam Tamils but also the feelings of the people of Tamil Nadu". The actress faced accusations for negatively portraying the Tamil Eelam.## However, after the show was released, many people changed their mind and appreciate Samantha for playing that role. But she is continuing to receive criticism from a certain group of people which led the actress to apologizes to them for unintentionally hurting their sentiments. ## Without addressing the topic herself but responding to the criticism, the Majili actress said in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, "I allow people to have their own opinions. If they decided to stay with that opinion, I am very sorry for hurting anyone's sentiments. I sincerely apologize as it was not something I intended on doing at all". ## "I did not mean to hurt anyone. So, if I did, I am extremely sorry. I am glad that, though, once the show did release, a lot of the noise stopped. I guess some saw it wasn't so bad after all. Chennai, August 5, 2021: Tamil actor Suriya's home production 2D Entertainment and Amazon Prime Video have inked an exclusive deal. As part of this collaboration, the next four Tamil movies from 2D Entertainment will premiere directly on Prime Video worldwide, over the next four months, starting from September. ## Interestingly, Suriya's last film as an actor, Soorarai Pottru, was also directly premiered on Amazon Prime Video and got a thundering response from viewers all around the world. The new deal includes films across genres produced by Jyotika and Suriya.
