Vetrimaaran Confirms His Film With Thalapathy Vijay

From the last couple of weeks, there have been a lot of reports claiming National Award-winning director, Vetrimaaran joining hands with Thalapathy Vijay for his next film. While the reports have come out true, the film, however, is not happening anytime soon with the director busy with his other commitments.## According to TOI, Vatrimaaran has confirmed his film with Vijay. He was supposed to direct Thalapathy's 65th film but missed the opportunity due to his prior commitments. Vijay, on the other hand, joined hands with director Nelson Dhilipkumar for his 65th film that is being produced by Sun Pictures. The movie also stars Pooja Hegde as the female lead. ## Vetrimaaran is currently filming for his next starring Soori in the lead role, and the film shooting is nearing the completion. Tamil superstar Dhanush won big at the 67th National Film Awards, which were announced on Monday (March 22). The actor won his second National Award in the Best Actor category for Tamil movie, Asuran. He has jointly been announced the winner of Best Actor with verstile actor Manoj Bajpayee who won his 3rd National Award for Bhonsle. ## Asuran also announced the Best Film in Tamil in the 67th National Film Awards. Deligted on being honoured with the prestigious award, Dhanush took to social media and thanks National Award jury and director Vetrimaaran along with others for believing in him for his role Sivasami in Asuran. ## "I woke up to this amazing news of being honoured with the prestigious national award for ASURAN. Thalapathy Vijay's latest release, Master has broken many records to emerge as one of the biggest blockbusters of Tamil cinema. Vijay Sethupathi's Laabam To Release In April As Scheduled

Vijay Sethupathi's upcoming film, Laabam is one of the most awaited Indian films of 2021. The movie was announced way back in 2019 but the shoot was delayed because of the covid-19 pandemic. And finally, when the shoot was over and post-production was also on the verge of compilation, the unfortunate demise of the director S. P. Jananathan left the Laabam team shattered and shocked and also dented the chances to release the movie in April. ## However, the makers have now announced that despite the unfortunate things that happened in the last few days, Laabam will be ready to release in theaters in April as scheduled in Tamil and Telugu. The 7Cs Entertainment - one of the producers of Laabam, took to Twitter and issued a statement regarding the release of the film. ## The statement read that most of the post-production work was already completed by the late filmmakers S. P. Jananathan while the remaining work that is pending will be completed by Laabam team. The box office hit duo of actor Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj is all set to reunite for their next project. After producing the biggest blockbuster, Master post lockdown, the actor-director duo will reportedly be collaborating for Thalapathy 66, i.e. Vijay's 66th film. A month after Master release (January 13), there were speculations that Vijay will be teaming up with Master director again for his next. ## According to India Today, Kanagaraj recently met Vijay at his residence in Chennai and narrated a script. The actor was impressed with the storyline and agreed to work with him again after completing Nelson's project, tentatively titled Thalapathy 65. An official announcement regarding Thalapathy 66 is expected to be made April.## It is also reported that Thalapathy 66 will be made on a mammoth budget and it will be a pan India release considering the huge fan following of the actor. Chakra Review: Vishal's Crime Thriller Gets Positive Response From The Audiences

One of the long-awaited Tamil movies, Chakra hit theaters on February 19 on around 1500 screens worldwide. Starring Vishal, the film was initially supposed to have its theatrical release on 1 May 2020 coinciding with May Day but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in India. Even after the lockdown lifted and theaters reopened, Chakra had to face many challenges before it finally saw a release. ## Based on cybercrimes and e-commerce scams, the story of the film revolves around the robbery by a gang of hackers and cybercriminals on the Independence Day of India. The film is a spinoff to Vishal's 2018 action thriller film Irumbu Thirai. Directed by MS Anandan and produced by Vishal under his banner Vishal Film Factory, the movie also stars Shraddha Srinath, Regina Cassandra, Robo Shankar, Manobala, and Srushti Dange in key roles. ## Chakra also released in the dubbed version of Hindi as Chakra Ka Rakshak by B4U Motion Pictures along with dubbed versions of Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
