Mumbai, June 6 - Marvel/Dinsey's Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of The Madness has refused to slow down at the ticket window as it crossed the milestone of $900 million worldwide. The superhero movie has done this without a single penny from China, and Russia. ## The Sam Raimi-directed pic currently stands at an estimated $909.4 million through Sunday, as per Deadline. The worldwide cume of "Doctor Strange 2" includes $388.7M from domestic (North America) and $520.7M from the international box office. It reached the milestone in just 5 weeks. ## "Doctor Strange 2" could have crossed the $1 billion mark globally if released in China. When excluding China and Russia, the $909.4M worldwide cume makes Benedict Cumberbatch-starrer the No. 10 global and international MCU release out of 28 titles, surpassing "Spider-Man: Far From Home".## Meanwhile, Tom Cruise's Top Gun: Maverick is putting up an insane performance at the domestic (North America) as well as international box office. This ace flying sequel continues to power beyond expectations and passed the $500 million mark globally. ## Directed by Joseph Kosinski, "Top Gun 2" witnessed the lowest second-weekend drop ever for a movie opening with $100 million and more at the domestic box office. It has already been released in 15 international markets and grossed $56 million from there. ## Stay tuned...

Amber Heard Can't Afford To Pay $10M To Johnny Depp, Says Her lawyer

Los Angeles, June 4 - The long legal battle between Johnny Depp and her ex-wife Amber Heard finally came to a conclusion in favor of Depp. The "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor had filed a defamation lawsuit against Heard for her 2018 Washington Post op-ed. ## The Virginia jury found that the article by Heard defamed Depp and ordered her to pay $10 million in compensatory damages. However, Amber's lawyer Elaine Bredehoft told 'Today' that the actress can't afford to pay such a huge sum to Depp. ## When asked by 'Today' if Heard would be able to afford the $10 million in damages that she's being ordered to pay, Bredehoft answered bluntly, "Oh no. Absolutely not". Bredehoft added that Depp's legal team worked to "demonise" Heard and was able to suppress "an enormous amount of evidence" in the defamation trial.## "A number of things were allowed in this court that should not have been allowed, and it caused the jury to be confused", Bredehoft added. "And the court found there, and we weren't allowed to tell the jury this, but the court found that Mr. Depp had committed at least 12 acts of domestic violence, including sexual violence against Amber".## Amber Heard has countered Depp for $100 million. While she lost most of the arguments, the jury awarded her $2 million after it found one statement by Depp defamatory against her. Bredehoft said that Heard wants to appeal the verdict.## Stay tuned...

Johnny Depp Wins Multimillion Lawsuit Against Ex-Wife Amber Heard

Virginia, June 2 - The "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor Johnny Depp has won a multimillion defamation lawsuit against ex-wife Amber Heard, by a Virginia jury. ## The Virginia jury found that Heard's 2018 article against Depp, published in The Washington Post, was defamatory and ordered her to pay a whopping $15 million to Depp. The actor was awarded $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages, which was cut by Judge Penney Azcarate to Virginia's statutory cap of $350,000, according to The Hollywood Reporter.## Amber Heard had written an op-ed in The Washington Post in 2018 in which she called herself a domestic abuse survivor against Depp. The latter had sued Heard for $50 million after the article was published, in which she referred to herself as "a public figure representing domestic abuse". Heard too had issued a counter-claim for $100 million over statements calling her allegations a "hoax" made by her ex-husband's attorney which was published in Mail Online stories in 2020.## While Heard lost on two of her three claims, she won on one claim that a statement from Depp's lawyer was defamatory, in which he said that Heard set up an "ambush, a hoax", referencing a visit from law enforcement to the couple's house allegedly initiated by Heard. She was awarded $2 million in compensatory damages but none in punitive damages, reports THR. ## After the verdict was out, Amber Heard took to social to issue her statement. "The disappointment I feel today is beyond words", she said. "I'm heartbroken that the mountain of evidence still was not enough to stand up to the disproportionate power, influence, and sway of my ex-husband". ## On the other hand, Depp celebrated the verdict and said the decision "gave me my life back", in a statement shared on Instagram.## "From the very beginning, the goal of bringing this case was to reveal the truth, regardless of the outcome. Speaking the truth was something that I owed to my children and to all those who have remained steadfast in their support of me. I feel at peace knowing I have finally accomplished that". ## Stay tuned...
