The numbers include $422.1 million domestically (North America) and $384.2 million at the worldwide box office, as per The Hollywood Reporter. This takes the movie past "Fallout" ($791 million) to become the number one movie for Hollywood superstar. ## "Top Gun 2" had already become the biggest domestic grosser of Cruise's career by crossing "War of the Worlds" ($243.3 million), and now it has topped worldwide score too. The movie has a shot to become the first $1 billion grosser for Cruise and it looks very much on track to reach the target. ## The box office biz of "Top Gun 2" got boosted by strong positive word of mouth. (2019) and the eleventh film in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). ## Ahead of the trailer launch, Warner Bros. revealed the official synopsis for "Black Adam" and hints at what the movie is all about. ## "Nearly 5,000 years after receiving the almighty powers of the Egyptian gods and being imprisoned just as quickly, Black Adam is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world", reads the official premise of the film. ## As per the DC Comics, Black Adam is one of the archenemies of the superhero Shazam and the nemesis of the Shazam Family. Black Adam first appeared as a one-time villain for the first issue of Fawcett Comics' The Marvel Family comic book (December 1945). ## However, Black Adam was revived as a recurring character after DC Comics first licensed and then acquired the Fawcett characters and began publishing Shazam (formerly Captain Marvel) Family stories under the title Shazam! in the 1970s. ## Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson plays the title role of Black Adam who, going by trailer, has to choose between being the savior and destroyer of mankind. Los Angeles, June 8 - Disney may have been offering family-friendly films but its upcoming Marvel movie, "Deadpool 3", is going to be as tough as the previous two Deadpool films. ## The third installment of the "Deadpool" franchise will be the first made under Disney, which acquired Fox in 2019 after Fox found immense success with two R-rated "Deadpool" movies. Since the movie landed under Disney, Fans have been wondering how a Disney-backed "Deadpool" will look as it is known to deliver family blockbusters. ## Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick who are currently writing "Deadpool 3", have assured fans that despite the franchise landing at Disney, the movie will not be Disney-fied and it will keep the same tone as the previous two films. "It's these [Disney] people and these people do things their way", Reese recently told The Playlist (via Variety). ## "We were used to doing things our way, so there are differences, but I think the great part is that Marvel’s been incredibly supportive. They are gonna let Deadpool be Deadpool, you know? It's not like any particular joke may be the one that they say, 'You know, that's too far, that could happen, but to this point, it's been nothing but support", he added.## "We're gonna let Deadpool be Deadpool. We're not... this is not going to be the Disney-fied Deadpool", Reese added. When asked if the "Deadpool" franchise will remain rated R with the upcoming third movie, Reese responded, "Oh, absolutely. They're not gonna mess with the tone. I mean, I'd never say never, I guess there's an outside chance, but we've always been told it can be R-[rated] and we're proceeding as if it's R". ## Starring Ryan Reynolds in the title role, both "Deadpool" movies, released in 2016 and 2018, grossed $782 million and $785 million worldwide, respectively. Such was the satisfaction of watching this film that many believed it should have been nominated for the Oscars, which, obviously didn't happen. It, however, got nominations in the Best Visual Effects category. ## While the Academy didn't honor the movie with a single award, "Spider-Man: No Way Home" beat all the others to take home the Best Movie award at this year's MTV Movie & TV Awards.
