Hyderabad, September 1 - Actor and director Rishab Shetty's highly-anticipated folk action drama prequel Kantara: Chapter 1 is looking at the record theatrical business in the Telugu states, in which the first film, Kantara, was a big success. The expectations from Kanatara Chapter 1 are sky high, since the original film became a massive blockbuster. Despite being the Kannada origin title, the trade is highly optimistic about the upcoming film's success in North India and Telugu states, where the stakes are higher than before. Bengaluru, January 9 - After scripting history 3 years ago with KGF: Chapter 2, Kannada superstar Yash will return to the big screen with gangster action drama Toxic - A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, directed by national award-winning director Geetu Mohandas. ## Produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic is currently being wrapped and is expected to be released in December this year. Meanwhile, the makers of the film treated fans with the first look glimpse on the occasion of Yash's birthday on January 8. ## While the first look glimpse didn't reveal much about the plot, it has helped raise the buzz after the blockbuster response on social media. The look of Yash, which is very similar to his widely popular Rocky Bhai in KGF, and the background music have increased expectations. ## On YouTube, the blockbuster Glimpse scored a huge 36+ million views in the first 24 hours which is said to be the highest for an Indian film first Look Glimpse on a single channel. The previous highest was Pushpa 2 which generated 27.65 million views for the Hindi version. ## Toxic is said to be based on the backdrop of a drug mafia in Goa. Superstar Yash's 'Toxic' To Release In December 2025

Mumbai, December 21 - The Indian box office once again is set to be on fire in December 2025 as superstar Yash-fronted gangster action drama Toxic is more or less confirmed to hit the big screen during the month. There is James Cameron's Avatar 3 already slated to release. ## Toxic, directed by National Award-winning director Geethu Mohandas, is currently on floors. It was originally announced for an April 2025 release but due to the delay in production, the film was pushed back. According to the latest report by Pinkvilla, the makers are now aiming to release it in December while the exact date will be locked soon. ## Yash who has also produced the film with KVN Productions, is reportedly in talks with 20th Century Fox for overseas distribution. "The discussions are in very nascent stages but the intent is to make Toxic a global project. Yash strongly believes that the story-telling pattern and visuals of Toxic are right up there with international projects and is exploring the possibilities of partnering with a global giant for a massive release", reports Pinkvilla. ## Meanwhile, Yash also has a mega project Ramayana in the production stage. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the epic is being made in two parts with both parts scheduled to hit the big screens on the occasion of the Diwali festival in 2026 and 2027.
