Hyderabad, October 18 - SS Rajamouli's cinematic masterpiece RRR has a new fan in the form of director Daniel Kwan. The Jr. NTR and Ram Charan-fronted period action drama film is the most loved Indian movie internationally, especially in the United States where the general audience and filmmakers are literally going gaga over the movie. ## Daniel Kwan, who wrote and directed the critically acclaimed absurdist comedy-drama Everything Everywhere All at Once lauded the Indian blockbuster. Aiming to make it a global movie, SSMB29 will be Rajamouli's maiden film with Mahesh Babu. ## It was reported that "SSMB29" will be a jungle-based adventure movie, essentially an African forest action-drama. Now, during a recent interview, acclaimed writer KV Vijayendra Prasad revealed that the storyline of the movie will be inspired by a real-life incident and will have an adventure backdrop.## The movie will be produced by Arka Media, which produced Rajamouli's "Baahubali" franchise. Hyderabad, October 18 - It is known to everyone that producer Allu Aravind of Geetha Arts along with Madhu Mantena, and Namit Malhotra announced that they would be producing the epic Ramayana for the big screen and it would be made as a trilogy.## Nitesh Tiwari was attached to direct this mammoth project. However, with not much development happening, the uncertainty over the project was looming large. The 200-crore club in Tamil Nadu is the rarest of the rare achievement as the movie ticket prices in the state significantly remain low as compared to the other Indian states. ## "PS-1" portrays Tamil history to its fullest and this has played a major role in the film breaching this massive box office milestone. The repeat value for the movie among the Tamil audience has been immense, which is something that was needed for the movie to be able to score the milestone. The movie is being directed by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju and is slated for Pongal 2023 release.## After "Varisu", Thalapathy Vijay is committed to his Thalapathy 67 with director Lokesh Kangaraj, which will be a pan-India film. The shoot for the same is expected to start by December this year. Meanwhile, the latest talk in the town is that Thalapathy Vijay has also greenlit "Thalapathy 68". ## It has already been reported previously that Thalapathy would be reuniting with director Atlee for a mass entertainer, and now, according to the Telugu360 report, Telugu production house Mythri Movie Makers will produce this Pan India film. This comes as a major shock to the makers as Gulf is the biggest overseas market for Malayalam movies and the ban will severely affect the film's overseas collection. ## However, the makers are still hopeful of getting clearance from Gulf countries to release the movie as they have reportedly decided to re-submit the movie to the censor board after making necessary changes. It scored 18.15 crores net on its 17th day (3rd Sunday) for all languages, including itself some of the biggest Indian blockbusters of all time. ## The highest 3rd Sunday box office collection belongs to SS Rajamouli's epic blockbuster "Baahubali: The Conclusion" with 32 crores net in all languages, followed by "KGF: Chapter 2" (the highest Indian grosser of 2022) with 21.5 crores net, and Rajamouli "RRR" (2nd highest of 2022) with 20.5 crores net. ## Meanwhile, "Kantara" has also crossed the 100 crores gross mark in the home state, Karnataka, and becomes only the 4th movie ever to do so after two "KGF" films and "Baahubali 2". Chennai, October 17 - Mani Ratnam's period action drama Ponniyin Selvan - Part 1 has become the 3rd highest-grossing Indian movie of 2022, after crossing the biggest Bollywood grosser of the year Brahmastra Part 1 - Shiva in just 17 days.## Ponniyin Selvan - 1, which is already the second highest-grossing Tamil movie of all time, has so far grossed around 440 crores worldwide in 17 days. Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra has grossed 430 crores worldwide and is now the 4th biggest Indian movie of the year. ## The top two films are KGF: Chapter 2 and RRR with approx. 1,210 crores and 1,115 crores, respectively. PS-1 is also nearing the 200 crores mark in the home state, Tamil Nadu. Box Office: Kantara And PS-1 Third Sunday Early Estimates

Bengaluru, October 16 - Hombale Films' adventure action thriller Kantara has had the biggest day of its box office run so far on its 3rd Sunday. The movie went overdrive to clock the mammoth as the early estimates suggest 23 crores gross on its 17th day for all languages. ## The Rishab Shetty-starrer has already become the non-KGF highest-grossing Kannada movie at the worldwide box office and with 3rd Sunday's collection has reached about 140 crores gross, including 100 approx. 100 crores in Karnataka state. ## The Hindi version of the movie was released on October 14 after the huge demand and it performed well in the opening weekend by clocking 9.50 crores gross, including an estimated 4.70 crores on Sunday. The Telugu version was released a day later to Hindi and has grossed approx. 9.70 crores in just two days.## Meanwhile, Mani Ratnam's mega-blockbuster Ponniyin Selvan - Part 1 has had another big day at the domestic box office, grossing an estimated 8.75-9 crores gross on its 3rd Sunday. The total worldwide gross collection of the movie now reached about 435 crores in 17 days. ## In Tamil Nadu, "PS-1" is nearing the untouched 200 crores mark.
